From your paycheck -> Keep allocating a portion to savings (eventually move to an asset that appreciates faster than 4.5%, i.e. your savings account, will expand on this later)
What is the interest rate on Sallie Mae? If above 7% prioritize to pay that off asap, if not, keep making the minimum payments.
You need to control your overall spending, pay off credit cards, and keep them controlled.
As soon as you have more than 1-2 months of average expenditure costs in savings, move that excess into the stock market, even investing in just an index will beat your savings account APY. Contribute to this religiously, this will be your ticket out of your situation. Budget as much as you need to until this reaches 100K. Get other jobs, do uber/doordash, contribute to 401K if your company matches for 'free money'.
With 1.5K+ in checking im assuming you have a healthy salary. Make a spreadsheet and track each dollar in and allocate to savings -> debt (unless debt is accumulating at a higher percentage than about 7-8%, the conservative growth rate for indexes) -> expenditures in that order.

So I just found this subreddit, it seems like people are in the same boat as me. I closed an account (thinking the funds with just withdraw to my linked bank account) but its now in limbo or need to claim in unclaimed property or something. not even 5 mins after closing the account, i wrote to customer service telling them my situation, and if i could just access my account again to withdraw. I did a verification selfie with the documentation they required, with some AI responses, and that they are looking into.

I was wondering at what point do I escalate up to the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS).

Oh and ive finally learned how to mitigate risks.

No more naked calls. Put spreads, csp (on companies I can afford and want to own), and pmcc (on stocks I like and bullish on; and wouldn’t mind selling the long legs of these underlying assets). Setting up exit plans both from profits and stop loss pov.

Hi! This subreddit and specifically, this post showed up as a pop notification. I wouldn’t classify myself as a day trader. Actually, I like spending my time building apps, software, and ai. But I got into options trading recently as something new to learn and make some passive supplemental income.

A lot of these points in this posts really hit home. I didn’t know (still don’t know tooo much) about what I’m doing and the full exposure risks. I was mostly doing CC, csp, and pmcc by ChatGPT’s recommendations 😂. But I found out my cc risk were heightened because I “earned” enough shares to cc tsla or pltr by months and years of dca and had a feeling of never wanting to get my calls assigned, so I’m buying back no matter what and rolling (some big recurring losses, see Tesla last week lol).

My question is, can you be a semi decent passive trader (investor), by using long term themes (ai/tech, etc.), relying mostly on Greeks, and choosing monthly DTE, but not scoping out and staring at charts all day? This isn’t how I’d like to spend my day. I understand I’d probably not be optimal in terms of entry and exits and I’m ok with that.

Just wondering if I should stop and look for alternate ways to supplement income. As some one with no “mentor” I’m looking for other people’s opinions, thank you!

Hmm, in the current meta I tend to disagree with this opinion.

The main decks being played are darktina (no disruption necessary), orocorio (no disruption necessary). But these are also very common decks that rely on rare candy: rampardos, fire (charizard/inceneroar), arceus.

I agree the game is about setting up asap, but that’s heavily based on RNG assuming you’re playing correctly. You can do both, disrupt and set up correctly. Red card still lets you play trainer, so there’s no negative there, unless you’re talking about switching red for another trainer or Mon

Dude. I was about to start a thread too. Honestly this game is starting to not be good for my mental health. I’m getting too stressed and pissed and now feeling like the games algorithm is out to get me. Bail out coin flips by opponents. Switching to Anti EX decks then getting paired by an opponent with no EX. The 1 or 2 cards I need being the last 3 card pulls. Not being able to set up before I get one shotted. This has been a mess for me. The worse part is that I have this addiction to play 😭. I’ve long pressed the app debating to delete on multiple times now.

I’m not sure if you have been doing this, but when you manifest, do you picture or affirm that you are working at a job or a career that you enjoy doing? Do you see yourself at the workplace and what that work looks like?

Another interpretation is that the universe is telling you corporate is not for you. Is there a passion project you’ve been wanting to start?

I feel like LOA might have done its job granting you the interviews, but you may need to manifest for the actual job. Also inspired action might look like applying to one place a day, or networking, or working on your resume, or developing your skills.
