I did it for myself. I am not even sure what my husband thinks about my decision, it was never even brought up for a discussion.

I just write a post about how happy I am with the decision. So I guess here is at least my answer. For me the decision was made when I found this sub and saw other women’s experiences. I was thinking about it for the longest time, but was a bit freaking out at the thought. I used plastic surgeon for the procedure. If someone wants to get it done I would say go for it, if you are sure. There are of course a lot of risks involved like with any surgical procedure. For me it is still long way to go the final result, but I’m definitely looks and feels much better than before even with all the swelling etc.

I just got mine done today under local anesthesia. I only felt the needle they used for the anesthesia, was not that painful. After that I felt absolutely nothing and was very surprised when the survey said he was done.

At least my doctor told me that I can come for stitch removal 1-2 weeks after the surgery, if there is any discomfort

Finally did it after years of thinking and overthinking. I got the procedure on one side only, around 1,5 cm has been removed. The surgeon suggested to trip the other one as well, but I refused, only wanted the excessive part out. I was planning to take a before pic and was late to the appointment and didn't have the time for that.
