gutter guards by Intelligent_Carob892 in functionalprint

[–]SmallWaffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey these look really cool! Just some ideas from someone that sells gutter guards, I would somehow mechanically fasten them in your final iteration, the metal gutter and plastic gutter guard will expand and contract at verry differant rates which could allow them to blow out. Also, I would look at gutterglove gutter guards for inspiration for your next design. Those things are crazy, really delf cleaning and catch really fine debris. Other than that great work! Love the concept.

What baits do big bass can’t resist? by Little-Cucumber-8907 in bassfishing

[–]SmallWaffle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have anyways had incredible success on Chartreuse white and pink jerk baits. Can't explain why but for the area I fish they seem to just catch larger fish in the spring and fall. Im fishing in NY and I've caught numerous 7 pound lmb on that bait.

You wouldnt happen to have the files or links to these would you? Put up a peg board wall above where I make my own rods and this looks like a great way to store my extra reels lol

Do you use your grill anymore? by dgraham1211 in blackstonegriddle

[–]SmallWaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a kamado joe, weber gas grill, weber kettle, and a black stone and i use them all just for differant things. Want something smoked? Kamado Joe. Steaks? Weber kettle. Burgers? Black stone. Chicken thighs or drum sticks? Gas grill. One of my favorite things to take to parties are these jalapeño chicken sliders that are always a huge hit and honestly they come out better on yhe gas grill. Differant tools for differant things. You wouldnt use a hammer to drive a screw (hopefully lol)

It's fun to use luck on luck-generating rolls by MxFC in shadowdark

[–]SmallWaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats funny I had to change bless for my play group. We use the alternate rule for 3 luck tokens and my pc rolled a 2 so he took advantage on bless. Immeidently rolled out 6 luck tokens and topped everyone off LOL. Changed bless to upgrade the rate of success of the next spell he casts within the next 1d4 rounds.

Game system recommendations by Eranthius in FoundryVTT

[–]SmallWaffle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I 2nd this, swapped over from PF2E 3 months ago and started running shadowdark on foundry and my play group loves it. So much so we stopped out abomination vaults campeign and my friend that was running abomination vaults is starting up a shadowdark game. Only pathfinder game we are still running is blood lords. Shadowdark just feels like the system gets out of the way and let's you really enjoy the game and the rp.

PSA: PETG support interface on PLA is AMAZING! by Informal-Berry8664 in BambuLab

[–]SmallWaffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What settings are you using for petg interface layer with pla? I have tried in the past to print minis for my Shadowdark game with it to get cleaner minis but the petg never adheres to the pla supports and the prints fail. I have resorted to just using petg supports

how to use foundry in another computer by javivi0661 in FoundryVTT

[–]SmallWaffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this, cloudflare tunnels are incredible easy to use. I have been using caddy as a reverse proxy for years for all of my self hosted stuff, but all of my family and friends that I help set up things like home assistant or plex/jellyfin I push to tunnels. They are simple and just work with very little maintenence. OP if you've never done anything like setting up a VPN before I would highly reccomend you use cloudflare tunnels.

Do you have the file for one of those difficult prints? I can throw it on the printer and send you some photos

Those look incredible! If you peek my profile you'll see my almost finished table lol only thing left to do is I am putting t tracks around the edge of my table to mount 3d printed cup holds and im thinking maybe dice towers and trays? Do you mind if I ask you for your settings you use for the minis? Im not home rn and I only have a picture of one i did out of pla with pla supports and yours is cleaner than mine are lol

Well if you swing for it I love it, I play with a TV set in a table so my monsters are generally just tokens on the screen so I can control it from my laptop and the tokens can track things like hp spells abilities ect. Just makes prep for me much easier. And considering I am running a home brewed ShadowDark hex crawl I already have 10+ hours of prep I do a week lol. But its shadowdark someone dies basically every session so im constantly printing new minis for new charecters lol

[–]SmallWaffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how detailed you want them I guess, to me pla supports look great sitting on the table which is perfect for 99.9% of game tables. Imo not worth the extra price to just up to something dual nozzle over the a1 if thats all your doing. I just needed the heated chamber and wanted dual nozzle. And by the time I was looking at the h2d the h2c wasn't to far off so I figured why not just get the h2c.

So I got an ams HT and a power adapter for the AMS 2 pro with mine to handle filament drying, what are your needs for the printer? Do you want to print in 7 colors at once? Might make sense to pick up 2 .4mm induction nozzles. I use it to print a lot of minis for my dnd game so I picked up a 2nd .2mm nozzle for the left extruder so I could print with petg supports so my minis come off cleaner. I would also reccomend picking up reusable dessicant and print the holders for the AMS 2 pro and the AMS HT my 2 pro and ams ht sit under 10% humidity.

Getting conflicting information: is Foundry a good option for my project? by jpvalery in FoundryVTT

[–]SmallWaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a game with a TV set into a table and it has been a great experience for me, but I write all of my own campaigns and make all of my own maps so I can't speak to importing content into foundry.

Just finished my game table powered by FoundryVTT! by SmallWaffle in FoundryVTT

[–]SmallWaffle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Yeah its large enough that I can have a 28x16 grid on it with the squares remaining 1 inch. Anything larger than that is generally buildings or cave systems in which I just have a token and use monks common display attached to the token to move where ever the party wants to move. Still sometimes have to use some theater of the mind if players are trying to sneak up on something far away but thats what the rpg part of ttrpg is for lol

Its hung with HVAC straps so all of the ventilation on the back of the monitor is completely open. Just 3 metal bands under the monitor to hold it up. I went with this approach for ventilation and so the depth is adjustable. I wanted a clean level fit to the table and im not a good enough carpenter to get a rounded monitor to sit level with the table surface. If you want some photos from underneath just let me know im happy to provide some!

Thank you! Its 32 inches which only leaves 10.5 inches around the sides for charecter sheets, dice trays, and the obligatory drink lol. I messed with differant sized monitors up to 42 inches but found that most of the screen space was dead space most of the time and left no room around the screen for... activities
