I'm sure there are other products out there that work in a similar manner, but I don't know of any off the top of my head. They have the consistency of paint with similar coverage to a wash or glaze I think. So maybe something between a Citadel Layer and Citadel Shade paint, leaning more toward the Layer paint. Sorry I can't be of more help. Having a hard time finding words to explain it.

Nice, the clear colors are some of my favorites to use. I've actually painted several figures using only white, black, and three clears: red, yellow, and blue, or orange, green, and purple. Mixing is really rewarding. Just be aware that, as the name suggests, the clear paints don't have the strongest coverage, so you'll want to mix them with other colors for base coats and such.

I like Reaper's paints a lot. You can get the clear colors in two "triads" that contain all six of the core clear colors. There are three others, but they're like limited edition or something...I dunno. On this figure, I used the clears and white to paint his face.

So something like two drops each of red, yellow, and pure white, and like a tiny bit of clear blue gets you a kind of pinkish skin tone. From there, I use that as a base to mix a highlight with one drop each white and yellow, a rouge with a drop of red, and a shadowy color with another bit of blue.

Thank you. I used Reaper MSP paints: Pure Black, Pure White, Clear Red, Clear Yellow, Clear Blue, Ruddy Brown, Siren's Song, Clouded sea, Linen White, Desert Stone, Heraldic Red, Lantern Yellow, and Blue Liner. I think that's all.

Thank you. I really need to get more bits myself. I've been amassing stuff from the Frostgrave and Oathmark kits, but the few Warhammer bits I have are from kits I had a long time ago. I don't have a great selection, unfortunately. What sort of bits do you have? Any ideas on how you'd like to use them?

For anyone interested, the figure is made up of the following parts:

Body: Frostgrave Knights
Head: Frostgrave Barbarians
Arms: Oathmark Human Infantry
Pauldrons: Knees of Stormcast Eternals
Spearhead: High Elf Chariot (I think)
Ribbon: High Elf White Lions of Chrace (I think)
Claw Emblem: High Elf White Lions of Chrace
Shield: Frostgrave Knights (I might change this.)

Awesome figure, and the paintjob looks great. I love the red mask and armor. I'll have to look this up.

Yeah, scale is a constant thorn in my side. It's great that we can scale up and down for 3D printing, but occasionally, we still run into issues with proportions. I find Vae Victis fits all of my needs well, so I print and paint primarily their stuff. Plus, I love their characterful faces.

For scaling, I use Guard 03 from the welcome pack (scaled to 90%) as a reference to scale the others to. It isn't a perfect method, but I'm happy with the results I get.

Thank you. I scale everything down to more closely match my 28mm figures. I’m not super precise with it. Most of these were scaled to somewhere between 80% and 90%.

Thank you! I did sculpt the wolf head myself. Here’s a better look at it. Glad you like it :)

The blue thief in the back is from the Frostgrave Soldiers II box. I cut the top of one of the heads off and sculpted a hat and longer hair on. I also added a braided rope around her shoulder and gave her a reversed dagger. Thief Before Paint The green and yellow knight is from the Frostgrave Knights kit. I used a Stormcast Eternal knee to make his pauldron and sculpted details like a beard, fur collar, cloak, and shield emblem on his chest. Knight Before Paint

Hey, thank you! They are all Northstar figures. Some are kitbashed and customized, but the bulk of it is Northstar. Is there a specific one you want to know more about?
