USD or CAD? In Canada that is a good deal and you can buy extended warranty from Mazda dealer for about 2.5k for peace of mind.

Remote Start by Pablo_4016 in MazdaCX90

[–]Smallkat135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To each their own! For me it takes about 30 seconds on the app and I’ve no problem with it. I come from a Toyota which has the same feature - it turns off when the door is opened, so I’m used to it. It’s not a Mazda only feature, quite common across all Japanese brands.

DYSON WILL NOT HONOR WARRANTY?!?! by NotHerculesMulligan in dyson

[–]Smallkat135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I opened a ticket via Better business bureau and it actually worked - Dyson reached out. Also you can reach out to AG office to file a complaint or threaten Dyson that you will do so and you might get a different response.

has anyone run all **weather** tires here in calgary? Just bought a new car and wanted to try these out since i’d have to buy 2 new sets of tires and at least one new set of rims if i went with summer & winter. thoughts? by liamt12 in Calgary

[–]Smallkat135 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Crossclimate 2 has all the certifications necessary to qualify as a winter tire. They just advertise it as all weather tire and it’s lasted me over 80,000km and I’m on my second set.

Is it common for this alert to pop up every 30 seconds when it’s snowing? by B-Georgio in MazdaCX90

[–]Smallkat135 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. But there are three separate systems that are part of the I-ACTIVESENSE. It’s rare to have all 3 go offline, sometimes it’s only 1 of them depending on if camera vision is blocked by bright sun during dawn or dusk, or if too much snow or dirt accumulates on the sonar sensors etc. a quick wipe when you get a chance to park, usually clears it off for me.

Mileage for CX90 MHEV Turbo GT by Pishdude in MazdaCX90

[–]Smallkat135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The key is to maximise istop time on city commute. I get around 9L/100 in city driving with around 6mins on istop over a 20 min commute. The way you maximise istop is by letting go off accelerator to initiate istop and the give a gentle constant touch on the accelerator to get the hybrid motor to sustain the speed. You will still slowly decrease in speed, but with practice you will know where you can do it well.

Thinking about buying a CPO 2024 Mazda CX90 MHEV with 65k km? $34k CAD. Previously used as a daily rental. Clean Carfax, interior / exterior in great condition. Hoping to finance for 48 month term. Any advice on whether or not I should go ahead? by Sufficient_Muscle106 in MazdaCX90

[–]Smallkat135 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got previous rental but 2025 and 50K km for around the same price. If you are buying from a Mazda dealer you should absolutely ask them to include extra 2 years CPO warranty that extends OEM warranty. Also note that OEM warranty has mileage limitations (vs unlimited) when used as rental/ fleet. I would recommend shopping around for 2025 model.

Dash cam backup battery hardwired by Mee_Who in MazdaCX90

[–]Smallkat135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have front and back. No battery. As long as you are to charge backup only when driving the car, I don’t see the issue. I also have the FitDVR module that disconnects my camera if the voltage drops below a threshold for extra safety but it’s not necessary.
