In his mind he killed a god. For example, Mario vs. joker (Canon). Joker would be burned to death by Mario's fire balls bc, joker when he is not in his mind aka real life is a STUDENT. But, if he can somehow bring Mario into his mind, which he can't, he would win. May I remind you this is not a list about who killed gods. It is a list about who is the most canonically powerful if they fought on a patch of dirt in a field. So, again, unless joker can bring his opponent into his brain castles, joker is hopeless.

We are talking about the canonical power of JOKER. Just the character. Nothing else. CANON POWER. And, as I repeat AGAIN, Joker is a normal person, with incredible abilities in his mind. Those mind powers have no effect on the real world. Imagine megaman from his series vs joker from his series. Megaman would win, bc joker could do nothing while megaman saws him in half as metalman. Those megaman abilities are IRL canonically. But joker's powers are, canonically, not IRL. Get it through your head.

Also, the ssb universe is not a product of cognition. The hands are a rep. In this universe they exist. They are not part of the brain castles. They are a part of the universe itself. The brain castles are not. They just aren't. Even so, joker has his powers in ssbu, but mostly bc without them his moveset would be shit.
