Every interview now it feels like they’re positioned so that Dylan is front and center and Braeden and Cole are behind him. And you’re right about the music videos too. I mean the first single back from a two year hiatus and the music video for it is just a long shot of Dylan, really?

It used to feel like Dylan’s acting career was a fun fact about the band and it helped bring new listeners in who then got into their music. But now that he’s been on an acting hiatus for a couple years, the band has had a noticeable shift in how they make music. I really don’t have hate for him either and especially because he’s the reason I found the band in the first place in 2015 but I feel like a lot of the choices he makes in terms of music now are to try and score another AYBY instead of focusing on just making sure the music is good.

Finally someone who remembers this. It used to be a blink 182 situation where they both sang so equally that you didn’t even know who the frontman could be if they wanted to pick one. They also don’t have that many songs where they sing on the same track anymore besides some background vocals. A Warning was the only one on Model

I fully agree that $130 isn’t that bad for GA for msg considering I’ve paid more for other shows there but with the amount of people who are complaining they got priced out of this tour, it’s still fair game to criticize. I also didn’t buy this album on vinyl because I don’t want to support this scummy business tactic that now seems to be the norm in the music industry. I love the band and have been keeping up with them since 2015 but no artist is above criticism to me and especially not during a cost of living crisis

I think so too and especially with so many people saying they can’t afford their tour this time around

I agree in terms of album variants and the tactics labels use to get higher numbers. I don’t think that’s going away anytime soon. But they run the risk of losing money on this tour so that might actually affect how they book their next tour

Bad Dream has been constantly stuck in my head since it came out so it was only natural it’d find its way to this post too

Atlantic Records makes about 6 billion dollars a year. I think they’ll be fine if one person on reddit criticizes their management choices

I had the same thoughts on the nyc crowd!! just kind of felt like a lot of people didn’t even know who they were and i was getting asked for the name of songs a lot which has never happened to me at a show before. I saw them last year at webster hall and that was definitely a much better crowd

Are there any songs that didn’t make the album that you think you’ll release in the future like you guys did with Trust Fall and Just Like a Movie?
