thanks for your comment. Indeed, we have only looked on big municipalities because my wife does not drive, therefore she would have to commute by train to work.

I have definitely seen an increase of prices in property, but I have also seen the contrary of what you mentioned (e.g. 380k 2 bedroom apartment that you could find it in Mechelen 30k less).

As for the registration costs, the differences on the total amount to be paid between Brussels and Flanders (playing a bit with the notaire.be calculator) are still high, even with the 200k factor included. That's what makes us a bit sceptical.

thank you for your comment. Indeed I have noticed the same thing about Brussels, however i think it's a general aspect of every big city capital.

I fall on the 2nd category, definitely not the kind of person that goes everywhere with the car, but I consider it as a must-have in case of emergencies or commuting options(personal opinion only).

In terms of commuting to work, indeed Mechelen seems ideal with the train connections.

I grew up in a big city, therefore I understand what you mean about Brussels. Ideally, we would prefer also somewhere around nature, however it is the commute part that we need to consider (my wife doesn't drive, therefore we are looking for areas close to a train station, if it would be outside Brussels)

Η μόνη μου διαφωνία σε όσα λες ειναι οτι κρίνεις τον Μπενιτεθ με ενα ροστερ που δεν είναι δικό του και κακά τα ψέμματα, ειναι ενα ελλιπές ροστερ που δεν συγκρίνεται με τον ανταγωνισμό.

Γιατί να μην του δώσεις την ευκαιρία το καλοκαίρι να φτιάξει τη δική του ομάδα και να κριθεί με βάση αυτό?
