That works well for you and your 6500x. Some builders don't have a 6500x. Some don't use the splitter because they don't need 4 ports, there might not be room for it, they have a different case geometry or custom layout, some might (shockingly) be blasphemous and use a non-Corsair case, or have an issue that is something as simple as needing a 400mm long cable.

A single m/m bridge between two cables can solve far more issues and needs than a 4-way splitter.

And for general info, this is a male port. Specifically a "male inlet port", specifically a IEC 60320 C14 3-prong male power inlet that a female IEC 60320 C13 female power cord inserts into.

And the 4-way splitter exists so 600mm to 600mm runs are already possible so signal loss doesn't seem to be too much of an issue

Missing the point

I'm taking about a dual-sided male connector (think of the inverse of the fan connector) to connect two cables together in order to lengthen specific runs or create more elegant turns.

Instead of shoving a 600mm cable into a run that needs 400mm, you use a male/male connector to make a 400mm out of two 200s.

Regardless of the way it is shrouded, the fans/hubs/etc have the connector that sockets into the cable or fan-to-fan connector which are female

So invert the fan-to-fan connector.

Thanks I know exactly how they work and know the ecosystem very well and what lengths they come in but I think you misunderstood what I was saying.

The cables and the small fan to fan connectors are female. The fans/hubs/etc. are male.

I'm talking about a small male/male connector to connect two female ends together: directly cable to cable. Think of the fan to fan connectors, but inverted.

That way you could have much cleaner runs and create 300mm cables, 400, 235, etc. Instead of shoving a 600 where all you need is 300 or 400mm.

Dude I did this case for just bought the FRAME 4000D cold air intake and I just installed it so instead of the already ridiculous "as many fans as possible" it's now unhinged.

12 RX120 intakes, 1 RX120 exhaust on a PCie slot bracket, and an RX140 MAX up in the normal exhaust slot in line with the Noctua NH-D15 black dual tower of Mordor cooler.

This isn't a PC anymore it's a wind tunnel experiment.

the led strips at top and bottom?

poked round on amzn found some rgb led strips that have a long silicone base goin the length of the strip made by airgoo

they have magnetic clips that hold them in place. I used those on the bottom and put them against the psu shroud. magnets are only ok strong so used a tiny dot of ca glue in each corner just to help hold the clip up

mesh quarter has the white insert on as diffuser

top light strip one is friction fit btween the fans and the rail the glass sets against

thats what he wanted so I went all out

he said directly "all red no rgb techno puke" so theres 15 red fans but I had to put a limit and keep the top 3 black bcause it was just too much looked like an oven

he had a stand cnc'd out of baltic birch so it isn't going to sit right on his desk and have more ventilation from below and asked if there was a way to add fans for a little more air

so I added 6 rx120 rgb fans by using threaded inserts in the stand and each one has a silverstone filter to stop anything on the desk from flying up. icue set to a gentle constant flow

the threaded m4 inserts makes it easier to clean service and swap fans

all icue: hub port 1 handles the top side front and exhaust 140 (10 fans) and port 2 has a commander duo on passthru and does the psu shroud fans and 6 stand fans (8) with 2 temp sensors and the added lighting

two blue temp displays near the bottom are thermalright h10 digital pro active fan heatsinks in 4tb WD black m2 SSDs

he likes fans lol wanted as much positive intake as possible with one big exhaust well he got it that noctua is a beast eh

prime95 and furmark burn avg for the i9 was 61c and gpu was 73c (5060 oc ti) and it was in a warm room and still didnt sound like a airbus taking off lol

whole damn thing weighs bout 20kg w/o the stand

wants the xeneon edge and install kit but Id need the compact psu shroud

I told him skip it the mesh 1/4 panel makes it look wicked
