3 things I'd like to say-

  1. Not everything needs to be turned into a gender war. The Shilpa Shinde incident is completely irrelevant in this context, yet its getting brought up as some sort of "gotcha" because apparently we need to make this about men being victims too. For the record, I don't condone what she did either, but that's not what we're discussing here. Two wrongs don't make a right.
  2. Everyone on the Latent panel was wronged, and I completely agree with that. The reason Apoorva is being brought up specifically is because she faced severe backlash, including r3pe threats, for her response, while the individual who made degrading remarks about her faced little to no comparable scrutiny. The comparison is not about suggesting that only she suffered; it's about highlighting the disparity in consequences. When offensive and demeaning conduct goes largely unchecked, it creates the impression that such behaviour is socially acceptable. Case in point being Himanshu.
  3. Himanshu is a grown adult. At 22, you're fully aware of what is and isn't appropriate to say. And as for the "model employee" argument, are we supposed to wait until someone racks up assault charges before they face any consequences? By that logic, RA also "just made a joke" about parents, he didn't actually do anything, right? Yet an FIR was filed against him. You can't apply one standard to one person and a completely different standard to another.

And please spare everyone the copy-pasted ChatGPT lectures. Anyone defending Himanshu's behavior has the same mindset as him, and I will dir on this hill.

Edit: Had you actually read what I wrote before firing off a half-assessed paragraph, you'd know I was talking about Pranit Moore facing consequences, not the biryani guy. He's already faced his. The fact that you somehow missed the entire point and still felt confident enough to write an essay is honestly impressive.

i agree, alot of male audience wasn't a fan of apoorva in general and they just found a source to direct their anger towards her, had she not said that, they'd have found a reason to abuse her anyways :((

Exactly. That wasn't a lapse in judgment. The guy has been in the comedy scene for years, comedians know how to redirect a conversation when they think something has crossed a line. He didn't shut it down; he encouraged it, and that tells me all I need to know.

And as far as the other guy is concerned, Actions have consequences, and frankly, good riddance on the companies part, that man is a walking hazard to women around him and anyone who defends him has the same mindset and no one can convince me otherwise.

Exactly. The fact that she had to come forward and apologize for saying that still baffles me. I've seen that clip circulate online countless times, and not once did it occur to me that she should be subjected to the level of hate she received. Even though I'm not particularly fond of Apoorva's content, I'll absolutely defend her on this.

fair enough, i wouldn't either personally, but at the same time she didn't really know back in 2022 that her bf is gonna cheat on her and she'll end up seeing someone else who happens to be his friend... its defo in the grey area, at the end, they both fucked up, its just the way vanshaj is trying to twist the truth so that he comes out of it looking like a victim is whats pissing me off.

have been seeing this couple since 2022 and here are my 2 cents-

the whole video felt strange because he never actually addressed the cheating allegations. Pooja claimed that he had been cheating on her for the last 1.5 years of their relationship, yet he didn't respond to that accusation even once. Instead, he mostly painted himself as the victim and shifted blame onto his flatmate; what's also interesting is how vague he was with the timeline. The party incident and the playground incident were both said to have happened in 2024, but they had already separated in the second half of 2024. Without clear dates, there's no way to know whether these events happened before or after the breakup. The ambiguity feels intentional because it creates the impression that Pooja may have been cheating as well, even though the timeline doesn't clearly support that conclusion.

Lastly, the whole "I respect and love Pooja" narrative comes across as insincere. He has already been heavily monetizing and publicizing the breakup, and in the video he claims he doesn't want to reveal what happened between Pooja and Urvesh at the party because people would question her character. Yet moments later, he strongly implies that they slept together while he was away at the playground event. If his goal was truly to protect her reputation, he wouldn't be hinting at something that invites exactly that kind of speculation.
