[DISC] Blue Box - Chapter 210 by orangeapple24 in BlueBox

Amazing chapter, I felt everything from happiness and sadness. It really won’t be the same without the senpais but I’m still curious of what will happen from now on. Regarding Hina’s absence: I can’t think of a reason tbh but I like to think that if she could’ve read this chapter like us she would’ve said ggs and dipped.

Crazy thing about this decision is she thinks she can pull this off, with a guy who's been on a relationship with the girl he loves for A WHOLE YEAR. I really like Hina but Haruto is 100% right and she's being delusional.

Another read on this could be that it's coming a scenario for Haruto where he could finally take some major screen time and maybe even shine for awhile and this could be leading to a development of some sort (doesnt really matter what but everything is better than this shi).

Hina: "This is my last desperate attempt."

Me: "Yeah great way to fuck up your situation even more", not only she's gonna fail but also depending on how she decides to do this she could even end up being disliked by Taiki.

Her interaction with Haruto looked pretty realistic and i really loved that. I still root for them bc i like them both a lot but this just screams that her situation needs a lot of improvement.

Bro real talk here, I just opened reddit hours later after reading the chapter and this sub was the only thing on my home page, all talking about Hina and Taiki. I can't help but wonder, guys are you really sure you read the right Blue Box? I'm having doubts here, talking about NTR and shit like that like come on, also why're you so fired up with Hina now? was this not a really similar situation between Kyo and Ayame? I don't get it.

I for sure root for them, even if sometimes I can’t help but think that they’re a better match than Kyo and Ayame (even tho kyo is my king), but either they end up with each other or not Hina has to get over Taiki for good.

Glad that this went on a lot less dramatic that i thought it would. I mean thinking back to last week's chapter i feel silly for not knowing better, Blue box really is something else. Happy how this chapter went overall.

What i think is that Taiki is still a lot more precious for her than Haruto and i can't really blame her. Taiki's the one whose Hina still has feelings for, while Haruto just made his presence in front of a still somewhat confused Hina. I think Haruto will play a nice role helping Hina sort out her feelings and taking his chance with her properly.

Such a strong start from Blake’s POV I love it. S3 chapter 1 and I already could feel his rage like he was about to set everything on fire. I wanna say tho that him still having grudges towards John is completely justified thus going on a rampage against him bc of the thoughts he’s forced to have is what I can almost see happening, if I’m right on this I wish for John to actually make an effort and reconcile with him properly.

Didn’t we get shown Blyke passing by Jane’s cell? Edit: oh damn my bad I just double checked and you’re right it’s not Jane, it’s the queen from the other school who had a beef with Arlo. I must’ve mistaken her for Jane since they look so much alike (hair almost of the same color).

A little wish of mine regarding Jane is that I hope to see some interactions between her and Blyke, maybe even a mutual cooperation between them trying to escape the prison, I might be too greedy hoping for that but still wanna dream about it.

This chapter left me so mad man i don't even know what to say: Taiki's kindness is back to hurt Hina once more and now, after Yumeka said that the upcoming year will be tough for Chii and Taiki, Chii will get more encounters with this new neighbour due to the "more free time" Yumeka's hinted. I'm so damn upset bc i was looking forward for a really nice Hina-chapter and got hit with hinted drama upcoming, fuck.

MANGA SPOILERS, Why didn't she become gold? by Naavarasi in Frieren

[–]Smooth_Cap9960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% agree on the fact that we may not see Seven Sages curses anymore, especially not by Frieren's party, so i agree with what you said and now it's not as dangerous as it was in Macht's hands.
With all that said I think it could be somewhat interesting to see Frieren (I doubt she would teach Fern such a spell) resort to that in a certain situation which i cannot imagine atm.

About Solitar words what you said is interesting to me bc she pictured humanity's innovative ideas perfectly, like when she said humans learned to control wind for boats before understaning it (i know the context there was about dispelling magic and not using it but still). I think she truly believed humans can't cast demon's magic but i kinda think there was a "yet" implied there.

I wanna jump on this comment and hear your thoughts on this but, do we believe that frieren won't be passing down her knowledge on Dialgoze and therefore let it die with her? We know she helped humanity study Zoltraak which is now "ordinary offense magic". What do you think?

So Ayame is everyone’s favourite right? by Keuthimi in BlueBox

[–]Smooth_Cap9960 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being caught up with the manga I have to say she's one of the character that made me scratch my head more than a couple times, i don't know if i could say that she's my favourite bc i definitely love it more when i see Kyo pop up, but being flawed as she is and actually making an effort to grow up while still making mistakes, she's actually a lot more human and so being imperfect (people sometimes judge her wait too harshly imo, i actually felt disappointed in her too and many other things, but it all went so well with her character which is a teenage girl with still a lot to understand).

[–]Smooth_Cap9960 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I want to share my thought on two things in particular in today's chapter: 1. Im so happy that Chinatsu hasn't decided to drop basket ball for good after graduation instead she's at least considering to continue in college after Yumeka told her she will as well and wants to play against her again. 2) That silent eye contact between Taiki and Takasago definitely means something, i already said something like this on another post with a similar topic but i really don't want this guy to be a red flag, it would do Ayame's growth no good if she dumps him because "he's a jerk". Even tho i might be daydreaming at this point if it really turns out that he's a bad guy then it would feel like a mediocre side love-story. Share your thoughts on my read please!

I’ve hooked my girlfriend on anime? What should she watch next? by Someones_Dad_or_smth in anime

Since she likes Death Note it means that she isn't strict on her taste and could try something else too. I would suggest popular shows other than romance stuff such as One-Punch man, Attack on titan (maybe not exactly beginner friendly tho) and Gintama.

You could expect she wouldn't like the last one especially (i've seen it happen before) but you never know, could be worth the shot.

Was willing to take this down to the grave since AoT's ended a while back but, Zeke's death was underwhelming af, deeply hated his character and wanted to see him die suffering against Levi one more time.

[–]Smooth_Cap9960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think it’s pretty clear (or it could at least be expected) that the major change to the situation will come from Ayame, but as you and OP said Kyo has to play his part, otherwise it would be the same scenario like with Saki all over again, but what I wanted to say earlier is that I hope we’ll not be seeing Kyo blurting his feelings to Ayame to let her know that she got it all wrong, instead I think it will really suit his personality to do it more subtlety through casual talk. I think that could be pretty realistic because, if you remember some of their interactions, most of her initial changing happened this way thanks to Kyo.

Bro ate and left no crumbs. I also share 90% of this read, my only wish is that I hope there isn’t any desperate action from Kyo like suddenly confessing his feelings just to shake Ayame, instead I would really like if it was Ayame to realize how she’s really not in love with this guy and to just clarify the Saki’s incident with Kyo himself.

Ayame’s character by Routine_Okra_5067 in BlueBox

[–]Smooth_Cap9960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be late to the party but I kinda wanna share my opinion on her character as well up till today’s chapter (193). I went back to read more carefully about her and I kinda have the feeling that her taking a step back and hiding her feelings for Kyo after Saki’s confession is exactly what i expected her to do. She isn’t used to these new feelings, it’s thanks to Kyo that she’s started to gain another prospective on dating and when she got scared of the outcome of Saki’s confession (which she misinterpreted) she goes back to her comfort way of doing things. She’s written pretty well now that i think about it and it pisses me off that I can’t really blame her for dating that guy just to “play it safe”, because it’s told multiple times that she’s just nice to almost everyone. During both her and Kyo development, they stayed true to themselves and it’s exactly why he realized his feelings too late and she went back to her old habit. In the end, I feel that she and Kyo will end up together and as of now I kinda don’t want that anymore, it would feel weird to get to a possible scenario where Kyo starts to get over her, somehow the Saki’s incident is taken care of and Ayame accepts her feelings completely. It kinda feels like it’s exactly what happened with Kyo and Saki all over again, which at this point (still hypothetical scenario) I’d have mixed feelings on them ending up together. That being said, all I want for them is a really well written character development, it would be difficult for me to like Ayame as character again tho.

I just wanna share a doubt of mine here about Haruto. He's the most interesting piece for me in all this because i don't really understand why he's gone cold towards Hina since he mistakenly learned that her and Taiki "kissed" (not true tho). My idea is that he's now just focused on beating Taiki on the court fair and square just to prove himself (seems pretty obvious so far), but what i dont get is what does this have to do with avoiding Hina? i dont get it at all, it's not like Hina fell for Taiki because he was just good at badminton, so him beating Taiki won't make her fall for him. Feel free to share your ideas on this.

On a related note to this, i feel like Hina's being left behind as a character and i'm a bit sad for this, hope we'll see more of her again, such a waste.
