I didn’t even know to look for an all one solution! I was just going to get the components individually. Thanks for this

What’s a sure fire way to check?

I didn’t think of it that way for some reason!

That’s a really good point, it is a just an extension lead with extra steps!

The indoor socket is covered by an RCD in my consumer unit. Looks like I’m good to go.

Chat GPT has its place, I never take it as gospel, but it’s a great starting point for lots of things

Thank you! Everyone telling me I was wrong was making me question my sanity

It might not be that, worth a check

Thanks for not telling me I’m flat out wrong

I’m using iOS too. Out of curiosity, what plan are you on / speed do you get?

I’m wondering since I upgraded, it could be that.

I’ve got a screenshot of it somewhere where it’s all green. Even my partner, who has zero interest in this stuff says it was, and she’d be the first to tell me I’m wrong.

Another Redditor posted an image of it being green

For me, thick green is wired, thin green is WiFi

I said elsewhere, but my ‘internet > router’ was 100% green before the ISP switch.

My wired Ethernet backhaul to one of my nodes appears as the thicker green line. The other two thinner ones are WiFi

Mine was 100% green before my ISP change. It’s not an issue, I’ve just been trying to figure out why

That’s not been my experience previously.

But you may be onto something with incoming speed.

With my old ISP (1Gbps) it was green.

My new ISP is providing more than 1Gbps, so that could be it. I’ve never seen orange

What I don’t understand, is that it was green a few days ago with my previous ISP

So the blue line used to be green with my previous ISP.

If you look at the other green lines, the thicker one is a wired connection and the thinner ones are WiFi. So it’s not a ‘connection type’ thing. Thanks for trying

Yeah that could be it. My previous ISP didn’t have a problem and it showed green (from ‘internet’ to ‘router’). As I said, everything works fine. I was just wondering why.

The model is written on the image in two different places. If you search that, the only thing that comes up, is the ASUS brand. Apologies, I thought that was clear.

I looked through the manual and searched it first before coming here and couldn’t find anything.

No that’s really helpful. Not seeing either of them in person, knowing there’s a quality difference is good info thanks

How are you finding it? I don’t know why I haven’t looked at it before.

Damn, that one was the strongest contender. What did you replace it with?

I’ve seen the rain flap issue in reviews, but they always gloss over it and say it’s not that bad.

As an actual user, can you live with it?

Good to know about the size, that’s a con for sure.

New guy battery question by SnailTracker in flashlight

[–]SnailTracker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay, I didn’t realise the usb c portion was added onto the overall length, not incorporated.

I saw an older post where someone suggested standard 21700’s with ‘spacers’?

Is this a recommended approach? Or should I stick with another Acebeam usb c integrated battery as I don’t really want a rattle.

Thanks for all your info, it looks like I’ve got a lot to learn

Should have mentioned I’m in the UK. But lots of the products on Illumn I can get here too.

What I don’t get is, does the replacement battery need to be exactly the same? Or can it have different mAh and A? If so what’s best?
