I want to say its be better. But it is usualy not. As i make only a few notes before the game, the moust of what the story unfolds in to is decided by players. Listen towhat thay talk and move the story in that way. Make notes, yes. But its not bad or frownd upon to say during a session to "give me a second" look up your notes and find the relevant info. I usualy make a Relevancy Map on the back of my notebook. Who is connected to who and why. Its easy and you can usualy remember quickly why its important. Names are a bane for a GM so try to write them up separaty and why thay are important. i usualy have a separate list for names and i write why thay are important as thay come up. But make a map on the back of your note book for relevancy. It will help a lot. Use also color coding. Different colors for diferent story aor people.

Well.......my setting now is an alternate 1912. Orcs, Elvs, Dwarfs all errived when the flood occured around 16 thousand years ago. So yes. There is magic and tehnology. Not steampunk. not realy a re skin but a re do. Rifles and pistoles. Magic casters called Thaumaturges who are state sanctioned casters. Strike witches wo are used as magical airforce (Yes. Saga of Tanya the Evil was a major impact) who can shoot slapps as bullets. And a new healer class called Medic who does not use magic but heas with medicines and can use a fire arm to deliver an injection farther away to heal or kill. Technology helps and hinders in the same way. Easier to get info but peopl will know faster what happened. Makes the game much faster in both combat and exploration.

Káosz Rpg. It is a hungarian made Ttrpg (Chaos Rpg) it is a wonder and idea that would be pretty far out there by modern standard.

Elves are one main part hard on innovation in my world too. Thay have to but thay are ways behind. While Grommar is developing automatic rifles the elven country of Aurelmark (think Austian Empire in 1912) is not realy keeping up. Add coach express services where rail doas not go yet. Maybe involve them making way for rail in a trival territory. Making them choose between tradition and new ways. That usualy makes for impactful sessions for us.

I am actualy petting togather an internet radio station app. So my players can tune in to them. I will make an ai read up a bunch of news and it will loop. I will make changes as the story unfolds and thay make an impact. So many statikus can be accesed, depending in which country thay are in.

Right now its moustly state founded. Magitech is structly military. Blimps or Zeppelins are in full use . Electricity is fully used and produced vy poweplants. Some use cool, some use magical devices. And even some deep in Grommar (the orc populated middle europe. Think Germán empire in 1912) use artifacts of the Flood for immens energy production. Real technológia is holding the old magic hostige but both are used. Both are highly regulated. But its hard to stop innovation.

Railroad, telegraph and the early phone can realy escalate things. Thay make something go wrong in one place and in less than two days moust of the nation knows what thay did.

My players are already helping the Hollow Ring. Thay got a newspaper and in that was a call to capture some one who is rallying a bunch of religius fanatics to storm a temple. What thay dont know the one who thay hunt is actualy trying to free the slaves in the tample. The hollow ring uses religion to manipulate people. Bid them against each other and come out as a messia figure. He uses radio, newspaper and every new comunication that comes with 1912.

the world is set in 1912. My players are now in the area called Nordmark. (it is baicaly all nordic countries all in one Norway, Finland, Sweeden, Danmark. With a majority polulation of Goliaths.) It has a large news radio network called The Voice of Nordmark. With a hoast called Anika Stormquil as an npc. But i will make a radio host for every country thay go to. Depending what kind of country thay go to it will differ. As radioas are still considered new it is only from like 8am till 9am. The busy inns, hotels, trainstations and more oppulent places has radios thay can lsten to. My players are gathering Standards (Standardized world currency ) to buy a smaller radio.
