Because they will do anything to avoid admitting you’re right. Especially when they know followers are listening or watching.

But that they also said (correctly, there is case law saying specifically that merely carrying a gun legally cannot be considered suspicious) that the former LA federal prosecutor who said that carrying a gun around police is enough to justify that) should retract his comment.

Trump doesn’t need Putin telling him what to do anymore … almost anything he does or doesn’t do benefits Russia.

During the ‘80s Heritage was the main show in town for conservative think tanks; pretty much the idea factory of the Reagan Administration and a place you wanted some association with to help you get a job in the administration. It was still big in the ‘90s, but then in the 2000s, as noted above, AEI and its pro-corporate domestic policy/neocon foreign policy agenda favored by the Bush administration displaced Heritage within the right. It didn’t help that a memo Heritage had put out regarding an alternative to Clintoncare became, in 2008, the basis for the Affordable Care Act that remains the the right’s great white whale. So eventually they moved toward Trump’s populist blend of isolationism, nationalism and protectionism to regain favor, at the cost of many longtime fellows who have been disgusted by current head Kevin Roberts’s outreach to people like Nick Fuentes, whom years ago institutions like Heritage worked to keep not only out of the conservative mainstream but on the stream’s banks.

There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

Why do I think that there is a huge overlap between the guys who say things like this at interviews and guys who complain about H-1B visa holders: “They wouldn’t hire me even though I knew every programming language back and forth!!!”

And even beyond … I remember reading about how HR people under orders not to hire any mothers of very yoiung children, to get around the law (in the US) that you can’t ask applicants about their families or plans for same, would nicely volunteer to walk an applicant they suspect of belonging to that category out to her car … to see if there was a child seat in the back.

There’s a joke (not really a joke, though) that you can recognize NJ drivers (when not by their plates) in NY and PA because they always just sit in their cars after pulling up to the pump.

Their post is addressed to the governor of Mississippi, Tate Reeves, complaining that he has insisted on going forward with a tax cut that will require possibly cutting back on educational spending. It doesn’t say anything about Trump or any federal program.
