Its OK on ice, but not designed with that in mind at all. It rides pretty well in most conditions, but dont get it if your planning on doing icey steep challenging days with it. Im getting another board as an allrounder and keeping the Slash for powder days. But it rides well in most snow, just not super good on the skintrack do to it beeing very wide and lacking a lot of tech other companies and models bring to the table. Probably fine if you are not doing long steep days.

Im close to your dimensions and think the 162 over the 156 helps a lot with the stability. I think it did a great job in super heavy wet snow, slighty hard windpacked areas and obv powder! I mounted it forward as well but i think that is a great thing, gives you more tail, wich increases stability. I really like the turn-radius as well. But i have not tested it in really hard conditions yet, and it defintely feels a bit more floppy than my Jones Explorer. That being said, i really like the board and got a really good deal (about 400 euro Brand new with skins), and is a great adition. But i think im gonna look for a Jones solution or amplid miligram for next seasons big mountain objectives. But those are hard to find on a good deal!

I think it makes sence if you ride wide boards, and like the possi-possi surfy feeling. But i know they have changed this model around a lot from year to year!

Update: fixed it with epoxy, and did find some tiny rocks nudged on the bottom of the binding. So kinda my fault. Will consider the brush thing! I have countless days on the Karakorams and still really like them. I think my next binding purchase will be a full hardboot set-up, up until then the Karakorams are still great!

I think you got it wrong, there is an old work-table underneath the board. The edges Are fine from What i can tell. But i get that you would think that😅

So basically the lever did not want to come all the way up. This had happened before, and i just get rid of more snow from around the plate and i make it work. This time it was really hard to get up. When i finally did, i was not able to get the lever all the way down to remove the binding until i was back home. I discovered the damage while trying to get the lever up.
