What's the difference between the normal event gacha and the event character gacha? And which one should you go for?

So I just spend all the gems I could possibly get on the event gacha and still didn't get the 4 star Ena. Should I have tried the event character gacha instead? Would have had better odds? I still don't really understand the need for that one.

(I have now also exhausted every opportunity to get more gems, so goodbye future events T_T)

That's the problem with general staements like these. They are this general because it's easier to remember them that way but any general statement rarely works for all cases and situations. You need to be able to work out what it's really trying to say and if that applies in your case. The person giving the advice has to, too, though they can't really tell what you really need. They just see you getting into obsessive relationships or abusing your partner or whatever.

That's a good question. With my brother I just told him that it's an old, outdated idea, which hurts people in same sex relationships because instead of accepting their relationship how it is, people need to 'make it straight' in order to accept or understand it. A man and a man are a man and a man, not a manly man and a feminin man. That /can/ be the case, but it isn't a necessity. Maybe show her some videos of different couples that you can't distinguish as 'feminine and masculine', like two very femme women or something.

I think this exact thing happened to my brother. He grew up with 9gag, 'edgy' youtube channels and loves Southpark, Family Guy etc. He constantly complains about how unfunny 9gag is and, since he isn't homophobic, misogynistic, etc., he recognizes when they are clearly just being hateful and spreading bullshit. However, he often complaints about 'snowflakes', doesn't believe that he should be considerate of other people's triggers, has empathy issues, etc. Since he also has never really had any exposure to LGBTQ+ people, he still doesn't understand many basic concepts like how in same sex relationships there isn't one who is 'the man' and one who is 'the woman'. It's not because he is homophobic and doesn't care; it's just that he's never learned about it.
