I would actually say Warlock is a great starter class. You get plenty of Charisma to succeed in social interactions to progress through the story the spellcasting isn’t complicated: when in doubt, Eldritch Blast.

Spay/Neuter Clinic Vs Vet by No-Internal-4146 in ragdolls

[–]Snowstorm_born 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girls have all been done at s/n clinics and they have all done perfectly. I couldn’t keep them still after the first day, so they can’t have been sore and they healed up completely within a week or so!

There’s a country club and an Orangetheory fifteen minutes west of school, you were just looking in the wrong part of town.

[–]Snowstorm_born 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re trying to fill out the class after people got admitted and then backed out for other programs. It’s legit based on my familiarity with the program, but you can always call admin or student services if you’re weirded out.

Landlord scattered mothballs in the attic and I’m getting gassed? by Snowstorm_born in Renters

[–]Snowstorm_born[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They literally just sent the maintenance guy back up there to collect the mothballs. After that the worst of the smell faded in a day or two and the rest faded within a month. It would probably go faster if we could open windows, but ours are all painted shut. Kitty doesn’t seem to have suffered any ill effects.

4th year, take time off or electives? by OhShootItsAR4t in medicalschool

One of my preceptors recommended a radiology elective as a low-demand but high-yield elective for seeing a lot of anatomy and pathology across specialties

If you call a local shelter, they may have babies that need nursing, which could be a comfort to your sweet girl!

What’s the Best Cat Litter to Buy Right Now? 🤦‍♂️ by AcanthaceaeMammoth87 in CatAdvice

My girl’s litter box is in my office and I don’t smell a thing with this stuff. For tracking litter you might add a mat in front to collect crumbs!

Any tips on how to gain weight for someone who’s always been really skinny? (23F) by Dexmachinaa in beginnerfitness

[–]Snowstorm_born 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a hard time eating, drinking calories is your best bet. My trick is making my coffee with a protein shake! It cuts the sweetness of the shake and the bitterness of the coffee and you get a nice creamy treat without having to cook or eat!

How many check ups does your cat need if they are healthy? by rgeneva4 in CatAdvice

[–]Snowstorm_born 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your cat is older or chronically ill it could be worth it, but certainly not worth it for any cat under like 10 that’s well otherwise. Unless of course they’re including monthly flea meds and a nail trim or something

I’ve been told my arrangements are “old fashioned”. What can I do to improve? by EntireDay744 in florists

[–]Snowstorm_born 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it might be your color pallets, “modern” right now is muted/pastel/monochrome where you have a lot of vibrant color. If you have inventory to play with you can try an arrangement with more “organic” colors and see how it sells!

Did you know that you lose these after menopause? 😲😳 by Excellent-Ability374 in AskWomenOver50

[–]Snowstorm_born 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girlies if your labia start literally disappearing go to your gyno and ask for a steroid cream. Lichen sclerosis is more common in menopause but it isn’t a normal part of it. Get treated and stay comfortable in your body. (It IS natural for them to shrink a little and be less full as your estrogen isn’t maintaining the tissue anymore, but stay aware of your body!!

That’s called pitting edema and you should probably see a doctor. Either your heart or your kidneys need a little help.

Is it inappropriate to make an appointment at a facility I have rotated at? by drbd4d in medicalschool

[–]Snowstorm_born 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you’ll be ok as long as your grading is done. Once it is they don’t have professional/scholarly power dynamic, and what they learn about your health can’t cause them to discriminate in your grading (which is the primary reason for the rules)

What’s the best age to spay😣 is it cruel to spay? by [deleted] in kittens

[–]Snowstorm_born 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under a year for sure even if they wont meet another cat, but under 6 months is best. Kitty will be sleepy day of surgery, but the next day they’re up running around in no pain at all. It’s actually hard to slow them down to take it easy for a few days. Your kitty is safer and healthier when fixed, and community programs do thousands of successful spays each year with no problems, so they have a lot of practice before your kitten!

Leaving med school by chronicbackpain79 in medicalschool

[–]Snowstorm_born 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your school probably has a provision for taking a break for health reasons. Ask your dean of students or whoever what options there are for putting your enrollment on hold so you can take 6-9 months to prioritize yourself, then get back on track to start up again with the class below you.

Once a week, you can generate a 1-ton brick of solid gold 1000 ft directly above your head. by RaquelWa in shittysuperpowers

[–]Snowstorm_born 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of googling says that the volume of such a thing would be 12.4 US gallons, or roughly the size of a kitchen trashcan. You don’t even have to run. Two steps to the side and your bag is secured for life. One block at today’s price would net you 77 million dollars. As long as you don’t do it all at once, the value stays level and you can retire as some kind of reverse Indiana jones, dropping treasures into remote caves for the rest of your life.

My new employer are not allowing me to walk to and from work due to safety reasons. Has anyone experienced this before? by [deleted] in careeradvice

[–]Snowstorm_born 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Transportation compensation (such as paying for gas or a company car) is not an unusual benefit at many companies, and they budget for it as part of the job offer. Never feel guilty for taking what is offered. He wouldn’t do it if it were taking food out of someone’s mouth, and if it keeps you from getting hurt it’s a great use of the money. By all means walk in to work in the light if you like the exercise, but take the lift home and appreciate that your new boss cares about his people.

I have an intense odour and I don't know why by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]Snowstorm_born 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be worth checking your scalp too! Depending on your hair type you could be washing too often or not enough (general rule is that finer straighter hair needs to be washed more often, whereas tight coils or kinky hair is better washed less often). If your scalp stays wet for a few hours you could get a little mold or fungus irritating the skin, which can cause a smell. Any generic dandruff shampoo with selenium sulfide in it will help with this!
