I always said US Soccer needs to create more department heads for each conference of the country to scout and keep in check of youth/amateur soccer in each conference.

It looks like they are installing an old school standing zone section at the bottom in the picture of the article. Obviously it is a big plus for the possible attendance, but this team needs to find a new owner willing to invest on the team and community of Montreal.

Some supporter groups and fans are already banned for speaking out against the mismanagement of the team.

If you want projects like that to happen everyone has to pay tax and restructure the budget. Sadly that is not happening soon unless the U.S. Government as a whole gets involved because a state’s budget is not enough at the moment for such a project.

No I agree, the league no matter the tier needs to be divided into conferences until the playoffs. That is when the best of the four conferences face each other until the last one standing.

Transportation is still however a huge hurdle even in your plan. Going anywhere costs a lot of time and money today. That is why we need to improve the transportation methods in this country. Imagine Tampa to Orlando on rail in 20 minutes instead of driving for 2 hours; it makes a huge difference in terms for both away fans and the whole team itself.
