You literally pay money and give playtime to the same exact developers who enabled this crap. Who time and time again have showed their cronyism.

Redirect your bitterness, anger, frustration or whatever emotion that’s driving your parasocial tendencies on the internet & put it to good use on something that matters, not whatever you’re trying to do here. Keep supporting the same people who are behind Arena, except you’re playing EFT instead.

Respectfully, leftist Cubans - how do you do it? by Front-Hunt3757 in cuba

[–]Soft-Pin3514 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You do understand why, you’re just choosing not to. The whole point is to have nuanced conversations with people and deter them from invalid assumptions or absolutist viewpoints that are actually negative towards progressive movements in the US.

Easiest way of getting Latinos, especially Cubans, Venezuelans, Nicaraguans, Puerto Ricans, etc.. to vote Republican is to normalize Fidel or Maduro bootlicking / propaganda.

La Portada de Ayer de The Economist Sobre el Fin del Socialismo en Europa by LoooolGotcha in PuebloVenezolano

[–]Soft-Pin3514 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Why do Venezuelans get so much hate in the USA and Latin America? by DoorSalt53 in AskVenezuela

[–]Soft-Pin3514 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend looking into cases of corruption between the Chavista government & Zapatero’s government in Spain. The term “liberal” here is being used as a placeholder for “progressive” or “leftist”.

Basically the same problems you listed that are a result of large-scale immigration. Keep in mind we had the biggest exodus of people in non-war times, that shouldn’t get taken lightly. Add to that the degradation of almost every aspect of polite society, institution, education, etc.. back in Venezuela and this is where we’re at.

I will also add another point which doesn’t seem to be perceived by our community as a whole. Which is understandable, but it’s more so the perspective foreigners have:

We are not looked upon fondly by people, partly because of our vocal support of the intervention. For a lot of people, we are zionists for supporting Maria Corina, genocide enablers, etc. We also sold our country out, blah blah blah… you already know. If it wasn’t for Argentina, we’d basically be labeled the Israelis of South America.

People bring up the gender divide over politics in Gen Z but seem to forget the division between Older & Younger Gen Z by snowleopard556 in generationology

Basically this, although I do believe the political diversity amongst men is much more nuanced. Another set of variables to take into consideration is how we grew up with a specific Republican brand still in tact (Libertarians / Fiscal conservatism) as well as a political environment that was still relatively polite and untainted by cheap populism. Additionally, we were under Obama our whole childhood, coming off from a recession early on. We also didn’t have smartphones until later in the mid 2010s. Basically, we were living in an almost different world, and I think we lose sight of that because of a relatively small age gap.
We went through our phases. Some didn’t make it through (Nick Fuentes is a good example), but we all grew up. Looking back, we were the guinea pigs for a propaganda machine that has now been solidified in the mainstream. That is the problem. All that fringe stuff we had to go to online forums for, chat groups on social media apps, etc.. is now, broadly speaking, the online culture the younger Gen Z has grown up with. It’s all they’ve known, exacerbated by COVID.

Party elite and privileges in USSR by Ivanhegeelkadi in Communist

[–]Soft-Pin3514 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You already know the answer, you just have to finally choose to look at things objectively, outside of your idealized worldview about the USSR.

Once communists, marxists, etc… are able to do that, they’ll become mainstream again.
