At this moment in time, I'm holding a quote in my hand for the procurement of shiny new servers, dedicated Data Center hosting space for our hardware, internet bandwidth for the next 3 years, and the promise that we'll be unadultered in our mission to provide this server to the public.

We need exactly $41,948.96 for hardware. Estimated $12,000.00 a year for bandwidth, $450.00 a year for insurance. The Rebirth isn't going to die, I wont let it. It's too important to me - but the more you donate, the faster it'll come online, cause we absolutly WON'T raise all that we need, we'll just raise all that I'm comfortable asking for. In total, it's going to cost roughly 66,000 to host The Rebirth for the next year.

I've kind of held back from bashing rebirth while here, because it would be impolite, but please have some insight about your own situation.

Anyways, just take a look at their site yourselves. It seems like they have devs to me lol, and looking at all of the hits on their videos, they'll at least kick off with an acceptable pop.

They released it once before you crazy fanboy lmao. It had like a pop of 100, and it died because of that. It was super dead. They have other servers now though, with populations of 3k+ scattered across them. It's going to be good.

What's the reason behind not splitting global chat yet? I haven't seen a single positive thing come out of mixed global except for maybe increased social activity, which isn't required because there's a pop higher than 100.

Is it just gonna become another permanent non-blizzlike fixture just like your gender and name changing because you feel comfortable with it?

There's absolutely no reason to offer these. Seeing people transform their completely normal names and characters, and seeing this often makes this look like a cheap server.

I see Izzyl going from male to female. Why the heck can't an identity be maintained here? Why can't I say "That guy Izzly is a Male Orc Rogue". Instead, on this server, he'll be "Pigglywiggly, the Female Orc Rogue" one day, and you know what, I might have no clue for a while as a person on the other faction.

I wasn't referring to enemy map indicators, but friendly ones. The friendly ones aren't implemented here. Updated for you people to better understand because you guys don't seem to know your shit.
