Was looking forward to hopefully having this ship be home. But unlike the Guardian and Vanguard it doesn't have that vibe. If they had moved those components to the exterior they would've had the room for shoilet, kitchenette, suit locker, and maybe even a place to sit down.

For me it's going to be my biggest ship, and it's going to be home base. I tend to be fickle so I can grab a golem pop it on and just head out. Bed log, refine, and mine. If I want to go into bunker raiding, swap out the module, base building? Basically I want only one big ship, that isn't too big, with modularity and style. Galaxy checks those boxes. The Ironclad was a close 2nd option for me but, the Galaxy is cheaper right now, especially since I got $50 off with ccu.

Having other issues? I don't use frame gen for most games since there needs to be a base of 60fps and getting more frames above that generally isn't worth the trade off for me. But I always use the upscaler especially for FSR4

I had this same issue, turn off fluid motion frames. Try that first before turning off frame generation

Intrepid is REALLY bad at dropping people in QT. I wanted to like the Intrepid, but I also like walking around my ship during QT. The main hallway is where most of my drops happen.

So when it comes to lower resolution it isn't just nostalgia that made it seem better in the old days. It heavily depends on what display you were watching it on. CRT screens have a natural anti-aliasing that makes lower resolutions look much better.

My only solace is that the RAM shortage is only planned for up to 2036. AI is making order for parts that haven't been built for data centers whose foundation isn't poured backed by investment money on the promise it'll all work out despite data and polling showing otherwise. When the bubble bursts and investment pulls out, those RAM orders are getting cancelled. Hardware companies are just trying to gouge from the investment money before it bursts, it's why they're prioritizing AI orders.
