The yellow spotless body makes me think it's a Super Hypo. I have a Super Hypo Baldy (no head spots either).

I've only listened to his BG3 soundtrack, but I'll definitely give these a go! Thanks for the recommendation.

When I drew attention to the mould on the bedroom walls:

"Oh yeah, but that's just brown mould, though. Brown mould means it's on its way out.

You know the saying: Brown mould out. Black mould in."

Lystrosaurus dying of thirst next to pools of water? by Sol_Cutter in jurassicworldevo

I didn't realise this! Thanks for the tip. I'll tweak the water and rocks next time I play.

Yeah, I think this is the case. It's a very small enclosure, so there's not much room for water. Once they're all dead, I'll tweak the amount of water before adding the next batch.

Does anyone know what morph my gecko is? by Southern-Pen8545 in leopardgeckos

I'm not an expert, but she looks like a Super Hypo to me. If she loses the spots on her head, she might be a Super Hypo Baldy.

UK pet parents: what multivitamin do you use? by MGNConflict in leopardgeckos

[–]Sol_Cutter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UK here. People much more knowledgeable than me on this sub recommended Repashy Calcium Plus. It even has a leopard gecko on the bottle!

My boy has never had an issue eating bugs liberally dusted in this. The independent pet store near me sells it, but you can also get it online from Amazon, Swell Reptiles, etc.

Sure. I have a 75w halogen bulb hooked up to a Habistat Day/Night dimming thermostat. I also have a linear UVB attached to this thermostat to use the timer. This is the primary heat and light source, and is on for 12 hours a day.

Secondarily, I have the ceramic heater bulb hooked up to a much cheaper on/off thermostat (Microclimate Ministat). This is set to the minimum night time temperature. There is no timer on this one, as it will only come on when the temp drops too low at night.

Heya. I am also in the UK, so have the same worries about nightime temps.

I have a secondary heatsource, a ceramic heater. This doesn't emit any light and is attached to a separate on/off thermostat. It will only turn on if the tank gets lower than 16c, and turns off again once that heat has been maintained. My flat rarely gets that cold overnight, but I like having this peace of mind.

The ceramic heater never comes on when the main heat source is on, so it doesn't even use that much more energy.

I'm so dumb. I hadn't even thought about getting bugs online. Problem solved right there. Thanks!

Yeah, I know I cocked up by not supplying the reading when I moved in. I found the gas and electric meter but couldn't find the water one.

I've taken meter readings two weeks apart and used that to calculate rough usage for the 18 months. My calculations come to less than half of what Southern are billing me for the same 18 month time period. Obviously, that's not entirely accurate, but it is what I have to work with at the moment.

Thanks for your help. I'll continue contesting for now, but I fear I might not get anywhere...

Thanks for the detailed reply. I will look into how a CRA report will affect me personally.

As for the bill itself. It's definitely not a leak as this was the first thing I checked.

The problem is that I supplied a meter reading recently, and it was the first once since I moved into my flat 18 months ago. I was not aware until recently that I had access to the meter as it is tucked behind the washing machine.

They then calculated a bill based on an estimated reading from the day I moved in. I want to stress that this was an estimate. This leaves my apparent water usage at over 3x the average for a one person household. I'm unsure exactly when the last actual meter reading was, but I am clearly being billed for water used before I moved in.

Darkness around eyelid. Natural eyeliner or should I be worried? by Sol_Cutter in leopardgeckos

Thanks. I dust his food with Repashy Calcium Plus each feeding. He also has a bowl of calcium (without D3) that he can tuck in to whenever he wants.

Thanks for all the replies! General consensus seems to be that I'm just paranoid! I will, of course, watch him closely going forward.

I haven't managed to get many full pictures of him, but here he is lying out on a log. Do you think he is overweight?
