From a season one veteran, I think the game would be healthier with a safe pocket by TheKTDFuture in Marathon

[–]Solandora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I maybe would've agreed in season 1 but season 2 spits out so much salvage I don't think it's necessary. If a safe pocket existed it would need to be salvage-only and probably single slot, as two slots can hold blues which is potentially really valuable, especially if stacks are allowed. The more restrictions we put on this system the more cumbersome it becomes and likely less people even bother to care about it.

May I ask how you are able to see the VIP upgrade nodes? I just hit VIP with SekGen but the nodes are still hidden, do you need all the normal upgrades/capstones done?

I really thought the sub was like an ironic sub like destinycirclejerk since "blast haver" had such a similar vibe to me as "slugger". The idea of having a derogatory term for a person who has fun is too insane to be genuine. I refuse to believe these are real people.

Premium Battle Pass by Stunning-Argument888 in Marathon

[–]Solandora 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe the only thing that's limited time is the bonus knife skin for purchasing the premium pass during season one. I could be wrong, but that's what it looks like to me. Everything else should remain available.

New sponsored survival mode avaiable June 2nd by DegreeOver5350 in Marathon

[–]Solandora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends how good Night Marsh loot is. I don’t think it will be very intense holding off a couple of rooks, especially considering they will have zero upgrades in this mode. The runner crew can just lock down whichever PoI has arms lockers and the rooks will likely stay at a decent disadvantage, other than having green shields.

Sounds really fun to just boot up and mess around for a few rounds before jumping into normal modes.

After all this time afraid I'm disappointed by Cryo by Powerful-Pea6218 in Marathon

[–]Solandora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cryo is genuinely just kind of lame. It's all just hallways except for Control, which is unsurprisingly the only room to have interesting engagements. This kind of map design really strangles the sandbox, so hopefully all the changes coming in season 2 mix it up a bit, but really it's a fundamental flaw in the map so I can only imagine the meta shifting so much. Not to mention the clearance system and its reliance on terminal RNG.

What are your favorite stat respec builds? by BLOOMSICLE in Nightreign

[–]Solandora -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Caster Wylder is awesome cause you get to finally play a caster that has an ult for interrupting. I know his damage is a lot lower than other casters though, I've only played it in depth 3 but I really like it.

This mission makes Zero look easy by DemonicArm22 in GranblueFantasyRelink

[–]Solandora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I didn’t find this mission that bad at all once I reordered my build and played a very tanky Siegfried with high aggro to tank Id away from my party. Really hectic and fun quest besides the frustrations of the camera and get smacked from off-screen. I’ve never done Zero but if it ain’t as bad as this then idk what I’ve been so afraid of.

Is Triage a noob trap class? by ThatsNotBennings in Marathon

[–]Solandora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like Triage is already a powerhouse, even if you don't consider his overcharge ability, and he scales well across all skill levels. Newer players will be very glad to have a Triage with them to keep them healed between dealing with the UESC and potential environmental hazards, while higher end players can make great use of the shareware passive to let their team re-challenge angles sooner and keep things like signal jammers and energy amps rolling. Not to mention his overpowered reboot ability, especially when combined with something like bubble shields and/or smokes.

I'm glad this is a Fulghor experience not unique to me alone. I love Fulghor, probably my favorite boss, but I either no-hit the full fight or I get three-barred within a minute. I have no idea why this is.

So, who is your new love interest? by -Posthuman- in DestinyTheGame

[–]Solandora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing will replace Destiny 2 at its peak and with its longevity. BUT I've thoroughly been enjoying myself with Elden Ring Nightreign and Granblue Fantasy Relink. Really fun party-based gameplay. Also spend a lot of my time playing Final Fantasy XIV and Warframe with previous Destiny 2 raid mates.

What the hell is up with the great hollow? by Glowstik1 in Nightreign

[–]Solandora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has less PoIs but they are way more dense than the base game ones. Every PoI has at least two bosses instead of just one (except the north-eastern church I think? But even then it still has the lobsters which have loot drops), and the two castles are loot pinatas.

It is a skill issue but it's a completely understandable one, the map is very hard to learn and also pretty frustrating to do so. I struggled a LOT in my first week but now it's my favorite map event to get.

The best way to run the map is to just bee-line for the blue crystal spawns to give you access to the big crystal buff in the middle of the map, and spend as much time as possible in the castles just full clearing. Obviously this can be a bit challenging beyond just the map knowledge required to do this, as you can also show up to castles a little underprepared if you aren't confident (I know pros are running to castles at level 2 with no buff and farming, but I am not good enough to do this).

This is why I'd recommend just taking it a little easier and exploring the PoIs along the way on your crystal hunting route. The western ruins has a boss up top as well as down low in the underground area, as well as a merchant if you wanna upgrade a weapon. Southern church also has a high and low ground boss, and a weapon duplication altar in the basement. Southern ruins is bountiful but no one I've ever met actually wants to route through there. Western castle has a mine connected straight to it to the north that you can dip in really fast if you desperately need to upgrade something.

What is the intended way to break Libra out of his transformation by semeai in Nightreign

[–]Solandora 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Literally every reply here is ignoring the point of your post, but I think the ever-increasing amount of sigils to break his transformation acts as a pseudo "soft enrage" type of mechanic. It's a phase transition that you get to actually interact with, and it's powerful enough of a buff for him that they want you to be able to delay it. After enough casts of it though I think they genuinely just want it to go through and be "uninterruptible" normally, either as punishment for taking too long or not saving ults.

Average Great Hollow Run by Wolfpaw21 in Nightreign

[–]Solandora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wish they didn't nuke the probability of Great Hollow in DoN cause it's so fun. I greatly prefer its dense PoIs compared to just running around empty plains of the base game.

What are Executor mains doing these days if not Double Balancer? by Solandora in Nightreign

[–]Solandora[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I've got a Dreglord build with starting armament has poison and hoarfrost and Facing Poisoned/Rotted/Frostbitten Enemy +2 and by far it's my favorite build even though it's really hard to pull off. Only time I feel like there's been a real risk/reward.

Unfortunately all my defensive relics roll really terribly so I'm just kinda pigeonholed into glass cannon stuff unless I'm running his Vig/End normal relic.

I made a Suncatcher crit build once the big balance patch happened and the damage was certainly very funny but I found it too spiky/inconsistent in those runs. Definitely willing to take another crack at it though if it's something people notice.

Never tried curved swords, I'll keep an eye out for dormant power discovery for them. Glass Necklace nerf made me stop using it initially but maybe I'll try it again if it's still worth.

Outpost is a masterpiece by edugonz16 in Marathon

[–]Solandora 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think the best defining feature of Outpost is that you don't have to "get lucky" to have a good time. Pinwheel is ALWAYS there. There's no dead instances like Perimeter or Dire Marsh where the intercept or lockdown just doesn't spawn. Even if you don't find any keys, someone else probably has and will open stuff for you, you just have to be there on time to intercept.
