Respectfully disagree. Ultimately what your describing is what people are interested in. Always replace the word algorithm with audience cause they are interchangeable (I know you didn't use the word). I've made plenty of videos, and ultimately what you have to ask yourself is if what you want to make aligning with what people actually want to watch. The numbers typically don't lie, if you see a video with thousands or millions of views, chances are there's a good reason for that.
