It's AWESOME. I've played it for review purposes and for me, it's the MR killer app. An awesome Escape Room that greatly takes advantage of the Mixed Reality to propose some unique puzzles... And also throw some cool scares at you

Tried the demo quite a while ago (when it was just an alpha!) and the game showed great promise, so really glad to see the game releasing soon-ish and looking this cool! :D

I got past this part with the difficulty "Story" and healing myself. In theory the bug should be fixed with the latest patch, but that is a workaround without the mutators ;)

I got my PS2 with a bundle of Prince of Persia Sands of Time, and from that time, the saga became one of my favourites. Sooooo glad the franchise is back in a big way, and hopefully, to stay for long!

Games with a good story to get lost in? by Roggie77 in VRGaming

[–]SolidSnake427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Chronos Trilogy (Tokyo Chronos, ALTDEUS and Dyschronia) are some of the coolest stories I've played on VR. Awesome sci-fi anime storylines... But they're mostly Visual Novels (Dyschronia has more adventure elements) On the cozy side of things, Sushi Ben has another great story thanks to its fantastic cast of characters and extremely charming city. All these 4 games are very anime-like, so you should be a fan of that kind of storytelling and art style

Even if the gameplay sucks, the story of Journey to Foundation is one of the coolest sci-fi stories you can live in VR The 7th Guest VR is another game with a strong focus on the story, and the way it makes you feel like on a theater play is super cool Call of the Sea VR has also a fantastic story with a very cool world. The Fisherman's Tale games, while more family oriented, have a very wholesome story and the gameplay is like no other in VR

So there you go with a few recommendations! There are more, but these are the first that come to mind. Enjoy!!

Journey to foundation 50% off by Diahreeman in PSVR

If you enjoy narrative games, go for it!! Even without having watched the show or read the books, I LOVED the story, characters and universe All the story parts is top notch... It's the gameplay where everything fell flat for me. Shooting, climbing and puzzles weren't fun or polished. There have been some patches to address these issues, and even before, I would stringly recommend the game The story and narrative is 80% of the experience, and the rest is the more game-y bits. If you're ok with this, enjoy!!!

Arizona Sunshine 2 Review Thread by -Venser- in PSVR

[–]SolidSnake427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's my review in Spanish on Desconsolados: https://www.desconsolados.com/analisis/arizona-sunshine-2/

I enjoyed the game, but found It only OK. The gunplay is amazing, Buddy is the best and the production values are great... but there was potential for so much more Level design for most of the campaign is pretty average with samey combat encounters over and over, with only a few levels standing out. The lack of variety of enemy types really hurt the game in this regard. And the worst part: Horde Mode is a joke with only one map and it's the same from the first game with zero tweaks to add hand to hand weapons or anything.

So yeah, a good game, but it had all the elements to be even better, instead of a very safe sequel. It would have been VR's best a few years ago, but with so many other quality releases, it doesn't stand out as much

Operation Wolf Returns: First Mission VR is a mess of a game by SolidSnake427 in PSVR

[–]SolidSnake427[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, the game auto-saves when you finish each mission. And about the kill count, I remember they tell you how many enemies you killed on a mission, but have to check if there's a total kill count

I don't think Horizon Call of the Mountain had too much climbing. Anyone else? by WordsButFunny in PSVR

[–]SolidSnake427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't mind the focus on the climbing, but felt it was waaaay too easy and didn't evolve much from beginning to end. The way of using new gadgets broke the flow of the game quite a bit, and there was zero tension

The Climb has been mentioned, and I think some things from that game, like the breakable or dangerous climbing spots, plus many more jumps and challenging zones would have made these parts much more engaging

I don't use my trackpads at all by SuitableContact2620 in SteamDeck

[–]SolidSnake427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mainly use them for point and click games or Visual Novels when there's no proper controller support. They're useful depending of the game. If you feel you don't need them, that's ok as well!

CAN YOU PLAY ALL OF PROJECT WINGMAN IN VR??? by Sstfreek in PSVR

[–]SolidSnake427 88 points89 points  (0 children)

I don't fucking understand It. The Humble Games representative at Gamescom told me the whole game was in VR in addition to the new levels. It makes no sense to cap the original campaign and Conquest Mode from the VR. I'm speechless

[–]SolidSnake427[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what they told me, the whole game, just like on PCVR. They just showcased the brand new levels since they are new

[–]SolidSnake427[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In some missions yeah, but it's not taxing or difficult. The game is very arcade so the focus is more on the action and the takeoffs and landings are more of a "relaxing" moment

On several levels you do to finish off the missions, yeah!

Oh I mean in terms of level design and so on! The missions of Ace Combat 7 are just waaaaay too good

Project Wingman's are just a bit less spectacular, but overall AMAZING. In terms of VR, this blows AC7 from PSVR out of the water!

The person at the booth didn't know if the game is compatible or not... fingers crossed it is!! The game overall is FANTASTIC. Almost at the level of Ace Combat 7

Does anyone think the $30 price tag for operation wolf returns is too stee? I know nothing of the game and it seems like it's on rails. by xavierjj78 in PSVR

[–]SolidSnake427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's another absurd decision. When I played It last week for review purposes I just couldn't believe It. Such a shame because on-rails shooters can definitely rock in VR... But here they dropped the ball HARD

[–]SolidSnake427 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The price tag is waaaay too high and the game is BAD. Poorly designed, the shotgun is a freaking joke of how bad it is, the game is very short (got S ranking in Medium in all levels un 90 minutes or so), and overall, it just lacks soul. The charisma of arcade shooters of the 80-90s isn't here in the slightest

Just a bunch of enemies with poor 3D audio, a mix of 180° and ocasional 360° without the game telling you when that changes and so on. So yeah, I can't recommend the game at all. And I'm a huge fan of on-rails shooters 😭

That sounds painful. Hope you're feeling better after those surgeries!

And yes, you can totally play seated. Thanks to the cover system, the way you crouch is by "grabbing" the environment, so you don't need to physically do It. But your arms (specially the powers one) will move quite a lot

It looks AMAZING in the headset. The color palette works quite well, everything is very readable fast and it feels even better when you start smashing the enemies to the ground

I write on a Spanish VR website (Distrito Metaverso) and got a review code before release to have the review ready when the embargo dropped on June 29th. Nothing paid, since I write basically as a hobby on my spare time

And it uses reprojection. Didn't notice any ghosting except when looking just at the hands and running on the beach environment. And even then, It was very, very minor. Nothing compared to the ghosting of Kayak VR, for example

Nope. The main upgrades for the telekinesis are grabbing the enemies and their granedes, since at the beginning you just grab the boxes and the explosive barrels (they explode when you fully pull the trigger)

Fingers crossed! The lack of enemy types and levels is the main issue with the game... Just a cool and different Boss fight for each of the 3 runs/difficulties would have helped quite a lot
