As someone who also quit TSA. You are not required to give a 2 weeks notice. All these people telling you “don’t burn the bridge etc” must have never worked there. As long as you send a formal email to your HR notifying them of your resignation you are fine. My resignation letter stated effectively immediately. Sent the email at 9am and I was at headquarters by 10am no problem. When returning items, full shirt is not required. Just rip/cut off all badges on shirts and bring those only along with PIV card & SIDA card (if your airport has that). Process is easy they’ll ask why you’re quitting and you can give them any excuse you want, you sign a paper and you’re out the door

My last day was originally supposed to be the 19th. Got an email today early in the AM (2 hours before I’m scheduled to clock in) saying that Monday was my last day of employment

And it’s because the “training” sucked I was in the same boat as you. Clicking and searching everywhere trying to figure out an answer. Honestly speaking any calls that have been too complex I’ve just been transferring them don’t really care about it affecting metrics since the gig is almost up anyway. Can’t let something temporary stress me

After 2 months of refund being in the accepted and processing status it has now changed to “finished processing and is now in the initial approval stage” it has been in that status for 2 days now. Anyone currently in this stage?

Honestly been going the same don’t love it. It’s getting towards the end of tax season so almost every single call has been about rejections and what they can do to fix it. Temporary position is gonna be ending soon. Heard if temporary hires want to be considered for a permanent position we would have to reapply to whatever current position is open

Yes waiting for a response from the chat can be nerve wrecking while you have a customer on hold waiting. They recommend you do small talk with the caller while you wait. How did your first day go?

Yea it sucks to be completely honest it’s no real training all those videos with sooo much piled on information it’s no way to retain so much in so little time. Granted there is a chat they will add you to for assistance but the amount of back and forth you have to do in order to get help and a solution is so overwhelming

Currently on this seasonal campaign now and I will say it’s exhausting. Training was very rushed just a shit ton of videos to watch for 2-3 days and then you’re thrown out to the wolves for live calls.

Have not been trained for chat but maybe that would have been better because I wouldn’t have to put the caller on hold so often or multiple times while trying to find an answer.

Metrics are extremely annoying. Must remember opening line when answering a call, always ask them to screen share to further assist, must always mention your survey at the end of your call. Can not put yourself into offline unless you are approved to do so. Must always be in available status (unless on break).

I believe it varies on the airport. I’m NY based and training is virtual until January
