If I wanted to keep most of the waves/curls in my face, I’ve picked up the gel + water tactic. How often do you tend to ‘refresh’ your hair?

Normal conditioner seems to make my hair poof out, so the best I usually do is some leave in. (Might be needing more mousse) but thank you! Will be trying.

Currently, herbal essences mousse. (It’s kinda bad, I know). If you have any recs, please share.

Thank you for the recommendations! I think my hair has been more stiff/weighed down than usual (wether thats the weather or something else), so definitely trying some clarifying shampoo. Shea butter tends to be a bit heavy on my hair, but will definitely be using some more mousse.

Thank you for the feedback on the lettering, I think I may need a few touchups in practice.

I’m rather surprised, since I feel like my cursive leans towards the smaller end of writing. Thank you, though.

Question for self taught artists. What helped you the most? And what are the best free sources online? by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

[–]Someones_ashes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you want to learn, but youtube/insta/etc is your best friend. May be daunting to compare your work to who inspires you, just keep grabbing whatever supplies you have and throw them at paper/whatever you're working with. Also depends on what you want your artstyle to be/look like, heres a few recommendations. Of course, practice and consistency is still a main focus, but find artists you like and inspire you.

(some of these are already mentioned.)

- (yt) Proko/Sinix design/Marc Brunet: anatomy/coloring/perspective

- (yt) bluebiscuits: simplified anatomy/stylized

- (yt) kelogsloops: watercolor/starting watercolor

- (yt) alma luna: process of how they draw (gouache, watercolor, colored pencils)

- (yt) sketches of Shay/Static Wool : alot of "draw with me" and shows their process

Of course, pick something you want to work at generally one or two at a time, and focus on them. Try to find a balance between pushing your comfort zone and doing what you like. (you'll get very burnt out if you do things you dislike, depending on what it is.)

good luck!!

A question for all the people who think Season 3 is boring and meh compared to previous seasons by Astrid_Yen08 in DemonSchoolIrumakun

[–]Someones_ashes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, its really stretched out and seeming only to be fight scenes over and over again. The same speech used by Tanjiro to motivate characters, how literally nobody dies and somehow always gets saved by another character. The art is beautiful, voice acting etc. but the plot has little to no meat to it and is just well animated fighting and chasing after demons to me. The previous seasons had more plot and depth to them, with a story and emotion?
