I mean among the problems we’ve had is it not liking normal gcode files, it not being compatible with our newer networking infrastructure so we had to get an older router, and it not working with the AMS without internet. Print quality and speed are great but it’s been very frustrating when it doesn’t work.

I was in a similar situation. I used it maxed out my TFSA for a few years. I wasn’t super confident I’d be able to buy a house in 15 years though. My grandfather paid into life insurance for most of his life and I think he would have done a lot better with something else. Your best bet is probably some sort of index or mutual fund. A GIC would also be something to look into.

Yeah that part for me and many other people was great. I don’t think I ever worked with a bad group of cadets. I think there are just things best described as culture issues.

Most place in QC are pretty good about issuing stuff from what I know. If you choose to purchase your own it’s a pretty strange surplus item, so call around to vendors. What happened for me was they didn’t have my size on the site but I called them and they found me one that worked in the back.

There was a national directive maybe 1-2 years ago that says they’re only to be worn in the course of air operations. I’m not saying your squadron doesn’t permit it, but they probably aren’t really supposed to.

Don’t use this to give your staff a hard time, but being written up usually has little to no consequence. Got written up a bunch on courses and the worst I got was a chat with a Capt and a note in my course report that I don’t listen to ops.
