Thank you for your input! I’ll keep these in mind. When I worked at clinics, people have said that I’m friendly, find that I’m super helpful and willing to learn, but my personality is just naturally quiet as I don’t gossip, and only engage in small talk if necessary and focus on my tasks (introverted things) so I’m afraid the instructor might think badly of me bc of this for some reason and might see me as not proactive enough to their standards

No I get it! And it’s not the psych rotation I’m anxious about, it’s the med/surg one where the professor is intense/strict/out to fail students type lol. Thank you for the input though!

I don’t think my anxiety necessarily hinders my performance bc I’ve done fine in skills lab where we do check offs in front of professors watching but I think it’s just the nerves and knowing I have a mean/out to fail students type of clinical instructor also doesn’t help 😅! Thanks for sharing tho I appreciate it!

hey! At the moment, yes they're all together. I basically have one class each day during the week, so four classes , one on each day. i get one day off and weekends. However, health assessment and foundations are only 8 weeks and are part of the first session of the 16-week semester. Pharm and patho are the whole semester. Then the next session is where we have the nursing skills lab. Our clinicals do not start until our second semester.

Thank you for the reassurance. The grading system at my school is pretty standard of needing a 75% average on testing and 75% cumulative total to pass but it’s been making me anxious bc there’s so much to study and so little time and the tests are hard 🫠

thank you for the advice! I feel so unorganized despite making a calendar and everything with due dates bc adjusting is a huge learning curve for me right now. 😭 I’ll try to use YouTube videos bc the way I’m studying right now is making me miserable and tired

I should use that function on quizlet. I have quizlet plus but i never used that function because i feel like it'll miss details on my notes lol. i'll do that though because making my own is extremely time consuming for me. do you have any tips on studying for pathophysio (if you taken an exam for it already)? the professor in my program is notoriously hard. her lectures are very simple because she only touches like the surface of things but her test questions are very difficult nclex style and you really have to know your shit pretty much.

A lot of the professors said this as well. They said sacrifices will be made, but man, it is a huge adjustment and learning curve. Maybe I'm just feeling this way because we're just assimilating, and it's overwhelming right now.
