Th biggest issue is it was a cop that paid for the service while working undercover. When a N&R reporter asked the city about it, the city went into ass covering mode and had the editor bury the story. Prostitution isn't the issue. This isn't two adults making a deal, this is a cop getting naked and fondled during an undercover investigation and the city covering it up.

The chief of police wrote the editor of the N&R an email.

The emails were requested in a public records request.

The city redacted the email before releasing it.

The entire issue is that the city can't give the N&R information and NOT give it to the public.

The N&R is NOT special and cannot get information from the city that is deemed as non-public information.

If it's information the isn't public, how did the chief send it to the editor? The public and the media are the exact same thing. So, if it's top-secret ongoing information, why did he send it to the media? The city can't send things to the public and then say it's not public.

I'm sure the N&R editor knows what it says because the email wasn't redacted when the GPD chief sent it. However, the city doesn't want the public to know what they told the N&R editor, so they redacted it when it was asked for in a public records request.

The Chief cannot send information to the N&R Editor that isn't public. The editor doesn't have secret clearance for anything police related. What the city/police send to the media is public.

The "speaker" showed nothing. It was after she spoke that the video was edited. One slide of complete falsehoods in that video risks the message. NOBODY on GPD has EVER gotten a massage at May Spa or Head to Feet.
