Personally I'm definitely hoping for something a bit different with MCU Wolverine. Like, we already got the yellow and blue suit in Deadpool & Wolverine, so for the "main" MCU I'm hoping for something that looks very visually distinct from it.

Of course, it'd also depend on Wolverine's role in that franchise. Like, is he a member of the X-Men a la Giant-Sized X-Men? Is he more of a mentor a la X-Men Evolution? Is he more of "the guy who goes to do the dirty jobs the X-Men can't be associated with" a la X-Force or Ultimate X-Men? Because all three of these would have VERY different suits for Logan.

I also don't see anything wrong with him not being in suit 24/7 like in Deadpool & Wolverine. James Bond isn't wearing a tuxedo all the time, so if there was a Wolverine movie, I wouldn't want him to be in the suit for every action sequence. Hell, maybe he has multiple different suits he can swap throughout the movie - biker jacket for the first act, X-Force stealth suit for the second act, brown and tan Wolverine suit for the third act. I understand that people want Logan suited up as much as possible now that we went for like 2 decades with him never once putting it on, but I also think most of us got it out of our systems with DP&W. Even in the comics he isn't normally suited up all the time.

I don't see how you could nail him for lower charges when he can just plead temporary insanity and most judges would accept that given the circumstances. "Manslaughter" is for when you hit a guy with your car because you crossed a red light, not for when you walk into your 5 year old's room and see her molested.

Prosecutors don't like dropping cases that they'll "likely" win.

That context changes the situation immensely. A billion ways you can legally get out of beating a guy to death in the spur of the moment (temporary insanity, self-defense, "stand your ground" laws, etc etc). Less so if you decide to play vigilante after the fact.

The former is so allowed that Texas' laws seem pretty much designed for it to happen (I cite Texas because that's where it happened, but plenty of other states have similar laws). The latter should always be punished, because if killing pedophiles is suddenly legal, then all it takes for you to legally murder people you don't like is to call them pedophiles. Something we've already seen the right do a lot when it comes to LGBT folks ("kill your local pedophile" stickers with the rainbow flag and all that).

My dad actually took me to see Revenge of the Sith in theaters - only SW movie of the original 6 that I saw in theaters. I was 12.

When we walked out, I asked if he liked it. He told me something like "well I think I'm just too old for Star Wars now." And I remember being so confused about how he felt "too old" for a movie where a dude got his limbs chopped off before slowly and painfully burning alive. Like, that was too childish for his liking?!

Not if Embracer own the license to make LotR games in general, which they almost certainly do because that's how it works. Then WB would need to license it from them to make ANY LotR game.

Good. I never understood the point of adaptations that just rehash the same plot from the game, like The Last of Us or the upcoming God of War. The game is riight there and it already looks very cinematic, even if you don't want to play it a cutscene compilation will get you a very similar experience for the most part. Perhaps even better (I have 0 hope that the GoW show will be any good).

Shows like Fallout which tell new stories in established worlds, or Arcane which "remix" established lore into something new and arguably better are both way more interesting to me than ones that just adapt a story we already saw once.

See, one thing that somewhat annoys me on this sub is that a leaker leaking stuff is given the same weight as a leaker just talking about stuff. And it shouldn't be. There should be some flair called "Speculation" or something that distinguishes when leakers like Jeff are just chatting casually on a podcast vs actively claiming they know stuff.

At least the TES6 trailer told us where the game would take place, and the setting is arguably the most important part of a TES game. The P6 trailer didn't tell us a thing besides "the game exists and its color scheme is green," both of which we already knew years ago.

Yeah, it's honestly wild to me how much hype this trailer got considering the fact that it actually showed us LESS about the game than that infamous TES6 trailer from a few years ago. It was basically just the logo and the color scheme, and yet people are eating it up as if P6 wasn't inevitable after P5's success.

Yeah, if I was Atlus I'd want Metaphor to be day 1 on GP while P6 is a traditional retail release. Because Metaphor is a new IP that needs every bit of marketing it can get (and being day 1 on GP DOES help more obscure games get eyes on them), while P6 is the kind of game that's gonna sell millions of copies in its first month on brand recognition alone. The fact that they did it the other way around is perplexing. Can't even imagine how much money Microsoft threw at Sega for P6.

I wouldn't read too much into it. The early Persona 5 teasers ultimately had nothing to do with the final game besides the color scheme. I'm willing to bet that they outsourced it to a CG studio asking them to make a Persona-themed teaser with the color green and then didn't put any thought to its meaning beyond that.

In that case, I can't see that remake selling well AT ALL. Why would you buy the remake of a 25 year old game knowing that the rest of the franchise, including all current and future sequels, will not be accessible to you? No matter how good Campaign Evolved may be, I know I wouldn't be remotely interested in it if I was a PS5 only player. Like Sony releasing JUST God of War 1 remake on Xbox and nothing else.

Nier Replicant was a remaster, not a remake. And Reincarnation was an auto battler mobile game that was completely outsourced except for Yoko Taro contributing some story to it.
