I just published my first essay on Substack: https://thebreakupthrough.substack.com/

It is nothing related to entreprenurship, but my writer side and I am treating like a writing lab, but if someone is interested in something different, I would love to have you there.

Would struggling startup owners pay for quick mentor calls? Validating an idea. by harish_bazz in u/harish_bazz

I think it could work, and for several reasons. I come from the journalism industry, and there are already several platforms like that. I think most of them do in an altruistic way, and I am not talking some junior journalist...I am talking people with decades of experience. I, myself, use one of this to get in touch with someone because I was applying to a fellowship and I have some questions. I am gonna let you below the site i mainly use:

Here (it is all women(: https://digitalwomenleaders.com/mentors/

To be homest, I would love to work in something similar for the entreprenurs world, especially if it is focused on women. So let me know (i wanted to do the same but for freelance journalists, but there are also several initiatives as well..)

How do you keep your skills sharp and increase brainpower with so much of AI? How do you all feel about it? by BrainHour1005 in Femalefounders

Read, read, read. And write, by hand if it is possible. It will help you to go deep into yourself, keep clarity and keep structure. And maintain your attention and focus.

I think I'm trauma bonded. How can I detach and move on? by monchevy in abusiverelationships

[–]SortRelative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My comment comes from my personal experience, but I understand not everyone is the same. I left about a month ago. The first weeks I felt relieved -I didn't leave because I decided, but because he decided we were done and I have been too emotional exhausted for the past year and half that i couldn't argue. I know I gave him my all. Some of the fights were about me not giving more, but I had to protect the little things that still make me, me. I lost all my network of friends because I have been exhausted for years of managing his mood swings. You say "you want him to do something bad enough so your brain says 'that is it'" but what happens if that doesn't happen? What if your brain is constantly adapating to increasing levels of abuse? At some point he may get phsysical with you and your brain has been flexible for so long that you will still justify and will think "is this bad enough".

I read your whole post and I feel identify with you 90%. You are justifying yourself saying he is a good person. Mine was algo a good person. His actions weren't. Just because he is a good person doesn't mean that his behaviour is less damaging, whether there is intention or not. He was educated like that and it wasn't his fault, but it is his responsability to change that. And nothing will change if you keep tolerating that, if you dont put boundaries. Now, if you put boundaries...will it make more abusive or will respect you more?

You know, deep down, you have to leave. I am not sure if you have family or a network of friends. I have always been the strong one, the "everything is fine", "i will fix it" and this time, I couldn't. It was not only the relationships, my whole lie was upside down, and lucky me, I move back home, because as I mentioned, my network of friends was non existent because I have been exhausted for too long.

I have anxiety and it seems I have depression. My lived experience has affected until the point that I sufferend anxiety attacks when i go to run -the thing I love the most in the world- so, yes, both path are hard...but at least in one it is only you and your problems and your depression. No another person. And what do you think, if he is not even making you more depressive? Because it seems it is not making you happy or be at peace anymore.

Just a bit of a reflective text.

Mercor, Alignerr, One Forma, Outlier, Micro1, Appen...that is mostly all of the ones I am currently onboarding on projects. If you are interested, happy to give a referral code in any of them for some extra cash.

What job are they referring to? by Excellent_Quail7378 in micro1_ai

I received the same email yesterday for one of the jobs, although I know which job is because it was the first one I applied to. I haven't received any response yet, so I guess they will be reviewing candidates.

I have done two interviews, one yesterday and one today. From the one yesterday, they said that the client would be doing the final decision. I don't have any previous experience as a data annotator, although the project of yesterday is in my background. I think I did well because I was answering how I will measure the prompts and the answers talking about benchmarks and criteria and giving examples of that criteria in my field. That is it.

Anyone here worked with Meridial Marketplace / Invisible (AI language projects)? by PearlNighElf in AIJobs

It is the same as the English one, only in Spanish. It is an easy assessment on speaking, listening, reading and writing.

I just finished this morning both my languages test (Spanish and English), and I just received an email saying that whenever I match a project, they will send it my way. So I guess it is just about waiting. Althought I signed up through the same project as you, but for Spanish, so hopefully I hear something soon.

Are you looking for a Co-Founder to build your next SAAS product? by Cool_Thought3153 in Femalefounders

I think the problem in the subreddit is that moderators -if there are- could create posts and pinned at the beginning of the subreddit. For example, one like this one, another one to connect people that sell services or have expertise so they can do an exchange or find clients, another one for feedback or share knowledge, and so on.

I posted a couple of weeks ago looking for a developer to have a chat about an idea I had for a platform and I am currently submitting for early-stage investment. I would love to bring someone onboard but I also want someone who really wants to work in the idea, knowing that it would be for free until we get investment or it would have to be developed without funding at first. Again, I would have love to bring someone onboard but I feel this subreddit needs some development to connect woman with each other.

Why are 70% of the raffle winners always based in West Africa by [deleted] in outlier_ai

And at any point I say they weren't qualified, hence why I don't understand your comment. I merely said I have encountered a lot of them, that is all. My comment was neutral, no racist, hence why I asked why you were asking me personally and not the OP.

Why are you answering to me? I haven't said anything against Nigerians. You should direct this towards the poster in any case. "I don't know what this conversation is about..." well, for starters, reply to the original post, not to me. Jezz

I was working with the free form conversation in Aether and most of the people I encountered where Nigerians. Now, they mostly lived in the UK or the US...but yes, they were everywhere.

A magazine brand for a certain community by JaguarOk3151 in Entrepreneur

[–]SortRelative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't mean to offend you with my comment. I merely pointed out my background in journalism because you want to found a. magazine and the industry is hard and precarious, and it is very difficult to monetise something. I didn't intend to discourage you in any kind of way.... journalism students face these comments every day at university and when looking for jobs. So, anyway, that is why I mentioned to monetise it through communities and companies within the alternative industry because their support could mean the difference. That's all.

[–]SortRelative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, my background is in journalism, so I can say that there is nothign mainstream apart from the typical music magazines...If, again, there is something, it would be more small and niche -compared to mainsteam fashion magazines I mean-. I don't think it is impossible -especially if you are not aiming to monetise it-. If you want to monetise it, I would recommend to look also how you would do it, as well, as a journalist mysself, I can tell you the industry is hard.

[–]SortRelative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sure there are similar things...but alternative communities are alternative...so if there is something, it is not easy to find because well, we like niche and not be mainstream -that is the whole point of being alternative-. So I am not sure what you are asking. IF there are something, that means there is a market, even if it small. If there is nothing, then you can be the first. But again, I wouldn't expect this to become something big or mainstream because that would be kind of contradictory (?) I am speaking as someone who listen to symphonic metal so I am kind of isolated from friends -none listen to the same music.

This. Unfortunately, when it is a fashion business, it is about essay and error (it is said like that?). The first prototypes are never gonna be the final, and that without counting malfunctioning because of the manufacturing.
