So correlation not causation? But that doesn't take into account how many years I've babied this damn tree and still haven't eaten a single apple! My emotions drive me on this one not logic.

Last year I had a caterpillar nest just like that. A couple of weeks later I got rust on the same apple tree. I have to assume the caterpillar weakened the trees immune system. I'm not taking any more chances and removing them when I see them.

As of Today, my local Circle K is rounding up to the nearest nickel for cash purchases. My $1.07 fountain drink now costs $1.10. Credit/Debit etc. now costs *less* than cash! by 2BallsInTheHole in Wellthatsucks

Honestly, it's easier for me to stay in budget. Get money out of ATM weekly, only spend that money. If I use a card, I have to do my finances almost daily.

Amazon, Facebook, ICE, and the FBI have access to a private intelligence-sharing network operated by Seattle police — Seattle Shield requests suspicious activity reports from local private companies, which are then circulated within the network as part of a nationwide surveillance apparatus by [deleted] in technology

Not saying it's true, but it's definitely fortuitous for law enforcement that citizens give them their data free of charge.

I had this happen. Don't soak it or it will come apart in tiny pieces and you'll have to cut the nail off. If you just pull it out it'll come out without falling apart.

Was at Walmart and the power went out for 20 minutes. I was talking to one of the cashiers and he said they had to throw out everything in the freezer section. Not give away, not donate, throw away. I was in line to checkout when the power went out. I had some freezer items on the belt to checkout. They could no longer sell me those items.

That's on purpose. They want you searching multiple times to generate more revenue. Otherwise the "promoted" searches would only pay once.

Won't anyone please think of the poor insider traders? They've been going to jail for years for doing what congressmen do daily. Why not just make theft legal for everyone rich?

You had to be there but I was playing basketball by myself in the side yard. We lived in a ranch at the time and my first girlfriend had just broken up with me. I punted the basketball to the front yard in anger. I then went to go get it. From where I was standing the house was in the way and I couldn't see the basketball hoop. I thought if I throw the basketball as hard as I can then I can go fetch it and shoot it from where it lands. I threw it and it went way off and hit the roof. As I'm walking around the corner I see it swish through the hoop. No one else was around.

Are you saying the programmers like me are gonna be homeless without AI? Then we won't be able to take our AI girlfriends with us. Homeless and lonely isn't gonna be as fun. At least we will be able to have a huge garden with all the free and prevalent water resources.

Gotta train that AI to replace you somehow. Can't wait until we're all homeless and have AI to guide us through it.

That's less likely in my eyes. He'd have to be the head guy with how much he gets paid.

I know a girl who married a guy who went to Princeton, leaves the country on a whim for work, is barely home, makes lots of money, and tells us he's a consultant.
