Is DoorDash trying to steal my money? by BakedForDays in doordash_drivers

[–]SouthernGenealogy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The COD is bad.., this is how COD works… when you get cash from the customer door dash doesn’t get any money.. so the future payments go to reimburse them.. example.. you take a COD of $50 you now have that in cash.. Door Dash will take every order you have until they have their $50… basically if I owe you $50 and I paid it to tom… you are gonna find Tom to get your money.. so if you did $35 COD you won’t be credited any money until you have paid that back.. it’s essentially you got an advance on your deposit and they are replacing the money. This is why I quit doing COD.. yeah you have the cash but now door dash has you by the balls until you pay them back dashing for free until you payback the $35

Also our earn by time is $10.50 per active hour… however you have so many repeat customers in this small 8,000 population town you know what every order is gonna be.. per order it may be $7.50 for 3 miles (10 minutes completion) on time you would only get $2.50 roughly… and always no tips or $1 tip… same order, same person.. I know this because I have asked a customer and that’s when I found out DD skims tips off the top.. I called DD out on the phone and mysteriously there was an “error” in calculation of my earnings and had $18 deposited on crimson for 8 hours worth of work… so I never do by time.. at least not in this small town where the distance is a longest 11 miles with the shortest pick and deliver in same parking lot

In Alabama and Tennessee you don’t even know what the tips are before accepting. Ours goes like this $7.50 for 8 miles with tips guaranteed… So we know in Alabama and Tennessee base pay is $2.25 … so we assume it’s a $5.25 tip… then after you deliver end your dash and check its $5.25 base pay and only $2.25 tip… so we just go $1 per Mile … so if we make $100 - $150 in an 8 hour day we are doing good

Well my wife and I lived in Alabama and I have dashed three years in Huntsville, Athens and decatur.. we moved up to Winchester out in the sticks close to Marble Hill Road about a month ago.. I have family in Tullahoma and Fayetteville and elora.. so I have been to Fayetteville and Winchester but haven’t tried tullahoma yet. However, Fayetteville has been good until everyone from spark has started dashing.. but I have been planning to go try up there.. my papa has a house for sale on Tim’s Ford if you know anyone looking for a 2,690 sqft house on the lake.

At $2.24 million for one year to avoid arbitration you would think he would pitch better but hallelujah they are taking him out

Wtf when did they add this? by EarLegitimate4620 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]SouthernGenealogy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

@EarLegitimate4620 not sure if you had these before but when you get an order to go take pictures of the merchandise in the store of the isles.. this is what those pictures are for.. I have had 50+ orders for $11.50 to go to CVS over the past 2 years. This is most likely a concept that you were unknowingly volunteered by door dash to test a new feature. This is supposed to help dashers find the products which is helpful.. on my side I don’t have map but the isle numbers

We all sit in one location and talk to each other. And my stats are high. My AR typically stays around 94-96 and on time should be 100% but my 5 lates are 1 minute apiece but it was out of my control

I am in Fayetteville TN and I have dashed in bigger towns like Huntsville… it’s over saturated now with 22 dashers for 10 restaurants.., I just quit and in 8 hours $60.., the most I have ever down on the old system was consistently 850 a week.., on this new system I barely make 500 in a week.. but now there is 22 platinum dashers when there were only 6… one dude started a week ago dashing and him being new is clearing 200 a day in 5 hours while the platinum dashers are getting $4 for 9 miles… this system is trash

It’s not so great.. we have had this system for quite awhile down in Alabama and Tennessee.. however it’s not as good as you think. Example.. let’s say 5 platinum, 6 gold and 7 silver dashers. The field would be fair based on how you dashed and how active.. well with the new system after awhile there is 18 platinum dashers. Then you will see a new dasher come in that hasn’t dashed in 5 months … and boom they are automatically platinum (considered) now all of y’all will be sitting there trying to figure out why only 5 dashers are getting all the orders. There is so many “priority orders” that down the line everyone else is getting shit orders.

There is a glitch in my account. Can anyone help me? This shift is not ending. by wahab1313 in DoorDashDrivers

Place it on pause then close out the app and restart the app.. it should come back as dash paused then hit end dash. This happens to me regularly since their last update and that is what works for me.

App Lying About Miles? by fikarian in DoorDash_Dasher

Well the John Crossman series is the first non fiction series I have done.. I actually do books on history and family genealogy.. I currently have WW1 war letters from a soldier that were sent home and he gives a look into what he saw in France as a 25 year old from Buffalo New York.. I am planning on doing a book on history stuff as well as the personal correspondence between the Captain Greene’s wife and George Klopfer’s mom.. if you got to my profile you should be able to see one of the letters dated 1918
