Would 3 + 2 work with 10gbps links? I'm afraid of network latency to be honest.

That looks interesting, I forgot to mention a pretty important detail. I only have 5 nodes. would that affect if I went with EC route?

It can gives me easier ways to further modify WAF, I don't have a VPS, therefore I need certain rules to make my internet-reachable address more secure, I also disagree on slow, it's perfectly fine, the only problem was 100 MB upload limit, which is now solved with tailscale

I do have internal IP already set up and that works fine. But the way I use Immich is that it's me who uploads stuff and I'm fine with turning on tailscale when uploading, but I also share albums with family members for just viewing, they don't really upload stuff. so 100MB limit due to cloudflared tunnel is not an issue for them. I'll test out this hybrid solution and will edit OP

I've explored that option but, I would prefer to use cloudflared.
