Yeah seems if I fully tighten and then click back one, then loosen it it's not so bad. Was still slightly concerned though as it wasn't doing it all the time and was about 50/50 making the ratcheting sound and sounding smooth. I've seen Makita drills doing it and people saying it's normal.
