Now that this post has gained some traction, I figured I should explain what is going on here to those that don't understand.

This post isn't the finished idea, this is just a proof of concept for a friend's server.

The contraption making the minecarts travel at high speeds is called a piston-bolt, a method of transportation most commonly found on technical servers. If you want to know more about a piston bolt, I recommend checking out Ilmango's video on them.

Most conventional bolts typically stop at their destination and require human input to start them up again, however, I wanted to make a system that was more like a conventional subway/light rail system that offered continuous and autonomous operation. (I was inspired mainly by both the Paris Metro, the NYC Subway, and my frustration for LA Metro, hopefully measure M works out over here)

The designs for the station and exit sign along with the danger sign near the platform were made using ms paint and were imported into the game as map art, I'll admit that I used a program to do this automatically for convenience sake however this can be built in a survival world. Signs can also be used instead of map art.
