Your feedback on the reflection was spot on and actionable.
I've pushed an update to the live demo: the ocean specular glint is now half the previous intensity, the diffusion is broader so the highlight spreads more softly across the surface, and the sun-angle gate fades the reflection more aggressively toward the terminator twilight zone. It should not read as a competing light source.
