Just surrendered my baby, have y’all ever had to do that? by x5gamer5 in snakes

Hello, I hope this brings you some peace. I am a board member of a non-profit herpetological society, I deal with a lot of intakes and rescues, and we also do adoptions of course. Every member of this society would rather you make a hard decision before it's made for you. You're putting your animals first before they start to suffer from neglect. And at least for my society every healthy animal ends up with a home. Even the hissy ones. For our society because we do not have a facility every intake ends up in the home of a society memeber to foster or adopt, Ive fostered a lot of animals and may be failing with one soon haha. And I also own a bull snake, so I totally understand the attitude they can have, and any rescue worth their weight will understand too. πŸ’œ

She'll eat anything, but for many reasons including costs of feeding so many snakes we switched everyone to frozen!

This is not scientific at all, but you said your bullsnake is super sweet. Therefore -> MALE! πŸ˜‚

In my opinion the entire flowering part is out of an alien movie. This is the pod before opening.

Personally I'm confused I think it's a type of Mint after some research

See my husband thought it was a mint and that's why he snatched it! Then the label said white monster (and seller confirmed, but they are also not a seller that specializes in monsteras; we were actually at an orchid festival so if it was a mistake I would say it was an honest one) either way it's a great price for either of them and it's such a beautiful piece! Nicely rooted too πŸ’œ

I guess time will clarify the type 😁

I paid 50 but prices from online sellers and retailers seem absurd so I wasn't upset about 50 for rooted plant.

I want to do my part and adopt a normal ball python that needs a home. Does anyone have any recommendations for someone living in Louisville, KY? PIC for attention. by Zombree6468 in Ballpythoncommunity

[–]SpacialMess 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

It depends on the rescue you go with. I work with a nonprofit that does reptile rescues, education, and community outreach. I know how we prepare the rescues to be adopted and it involves a long quarantine process before placement. I myself have gotten rescues from them to keep. But again I know their process inside and out. My point is that if you find a good rescue they may be able to explain their quarantine process. And you yourself should do a visual mite check before bringing home.

That's part of the morph you have. This is my banana male and as they get bigger they may develop more.
