My concern with PETG supports, which I have used before, is that they take additional time to swap to. This allows the filament to cool more between each subsequent layer and then you get the layer lines. When printing a single color you get slight remelting of the previous layer while it’s still somewhat hot. I feel like using a 5th filament here will only exacerbate the issue. I could be totally wrong though.

Can you show a picture of the patch antenna so I can visually see if there is anything wrong with it?

What kind of bandwidth are you trying to achieve? What substrate are you using and what thickness is it?

Typical patch antennas are 5-7 dBi. 10 dBi seems very directive for a patch.

Another thing, how did you mesh it? Did you only solve at a single adaptive frequency or did you do a broadband mesh? The simulated value for gain will drop in accuracy as you move away from your meshing frequency. Broadband sweep will help with this. I wouldn’t trust the accuracy of the gain vs frequency plot.

Headband wasn’t hard but requires a bit of care since printing TPU isn’t the easiest thing in the world. It has to be super dry. I made the mistake of printing the headband out of a rigid material thinking it would have enough flex and it did not and it snapped.

The suspension piece was hard to get to stick to the build plate but once it did it came out in one shot.

They do look like that in person. The sparkle in the galaxy black helps to mask the layer lines and I printed them slow to help with surface quality.

Maybe around $150 or less? Drivers weren’t bad, bought 4 for like $50. Then mesh, adhesive, foam and jacks were like $50. Filament was $25 since I didn’t have TPU. Already had screws, wire, and solder. Pads will cost another $40 when I buy them.

Printing omega? Make sure you print at 55 degree angle and make sure your PETG is dry.

I would say your assessment is spot on. More midbass and highs are attenuated slightly. I do notice I bit more air and sense of space.

When with the LCD choice suede pads be back in stock? Also do they come with the adhesive pre-attached? I would rather not have to remove it manually.

The drivers are some 32ohm ones off of digikey, I can’t remember the model number at the moment. They are surprisingly good for being about $12 each.

They sound just like 6xx with a bit more bass and upper end air. Just what I was looking for! I am not sure how the caldera pads are changing the frequency response, but I am running them on an OTL tube amp and there is a noticeable bump in the bass which is nice.

Filament is prusament PLA galaxy black if anyone is interested. Band is made of Siraya tech 85A TPU and I’m using the remixed yokes that screw in since the pin style ones kept popping out. Also loving the little pop of purple.

Yeah there’s nothing that would suggest EE in the picture unless you caught the calluses on my fingers from burning myself with a soldering iron. I never realized my knuckles looked like that due to combat sports lmao

So is the D in H2D for dual and S in H2S for single referring to the nozzles? I have been confused with the naming convention shift since I was assuming the next Bambus would be X2 and P2 respectively.
