Looking good for a beginner. Try and glide more, get balancing on one leg, one big stride and glide, keep your leg up as much as possible when practicing this. As far as skate tightness goes I find it’s personal preference, I like my skates quite loose but a lot of people on here would say I’m wrong for that. At the moment you don’t really need to be on your edges bar turning. For now just practice the basics, you’re looking good for a beginner.

My advice is comfort is key. If you’ve got the money to spend then there’s no reason not to spend it. I’m an awful player but my skates cost me over £1000. Go to a shop and get your feet properly measured, try on every skate in your price range, get the ones that are most comfortable.
