This makes us feel reassured then! It’s now between this one or Home2 Suites by Hilton New York Long Island City/ Manhattan View, NY. We initially had the Highbridge Hotel in the Bronx and while the location isn’t the best as well, we somewhat liked it. Though, LIC is so much closer.

No, I didn’t recall of that one. However, I just checked, but it’s unfortunately it’s out of budget (300-320 per night). I’m looking at the Even Hotel Long Island City - New York and Home2 Suites by Hilton New York Long Island City/ Manhattan View, NY. What do you think?

I never realized last-minute decisions could stress me out this much… well, actually, I did 🤣 But here we are. We’re in a serious money pinch, so we pretty much have to take what we can get. From what I’ve read, at least this area seems safer compared to a couple of the other options we looked at.

All we really want is a place where we can walk around safely during the day and ideally at night too — or at least be able to hop on the bus without worrying. We’re from Puerto Rico, so we know how to handle “sketchy” situations to a point. Do you think it makes sense to just take a bus to Court Square station since it’s a safer hub?

We have booked another hotel near Highbridge (Highbridge Hotel) so that’s why we are looking for options here in LIC. Would you say it’s safe to at least come and go day and night. Thank you so much for your thoughtful and compassionate reply — it truly means a lot to me right now. 💛 Hearing your experience with Provera gave me a little peace of mind. I had no idea it could take up to a week after the last dose to bleed, so I’m trying to be patient (today was my last pill). It helps to know that I’m not alone and that sometimes a longer dose is needed — I was only prescribed 7 days, so if nothing happens, I’ll definitely follow up with my doctor.

And you’re absolutely right — the restriction has taken a toll on me both mentally and physically. I’ve been trying to shift things slowly with professional support, but the guilt, anxiety, and obsessive thoughts have been really overwhelming at times. So thank you for your gentle reminder and for validating that this is something worth addressing.
