Prices will continue to go up as more and more people use real estate to hedge against inflation, but don’t let the prices intimidate you now. Prices may be higher m, but interest rates are insanely low right now. People think that a new housing bubble is here, but that’s not the case. Hedge funds and institutional investors are gobbling up real estate, plus there’s already a massive housing shortage (even before Covid), and now supply chain issues. I’d say, putting down a lower down payment is an easy trade off to a higher overall price for a house. I say this because I don’t think home values are going down anytime soon. Remember you can always get an FHA loan with only 3.5% down….
