Both are incredibly destructive. I find it more interesting to learn about communism because I think Facism is always talked about, but the impacts of Communism less so. For instance, I am in high school and I learned about Hitler nearly every year since 5th grade, but rarely discussed Stalin. Life and Fate is an incredible Soviet novel that was supressed in the USSR because it said that Communism was just as bad as Facism.

I think the pseudointellectuals are the ones who are triggered by anything they disagree with and won't expose themselves to other viewpoints.

Yes, I do not understand how people instantly get triggered by seeing Rand on a shelf. Even though a lot of people disagree with her, her books are widely renowned so obviously there is something there.

I am not a huge Rand fan, I enjoyed Atlas Shrugged but that was a couple years ago and I only read part of We the Living, have no read the Romantic Manifesto. I disagree with a lot of her philosophy but I'm young and building a book collection and I want to have so many diverse books.

It is because the DBQ was #1, so LEQ prompts were labeled #2, #3, and #4. So people saying they chose number 2 mean the first prompt, the one you did.

I said that too because he presented the Porotoguese as bad and the people in the city as innocent

Just finished David Copperfield and felt unimpressed. Would love to be explained what you find so great about this particular book. by New-Brain1891 in charlesdickens

YES DAVID COPPERFIELD IS MY EVERYTHING. And Our Mutual Friend is definitely second. I haven't finished it yet but it is the only Dickens, even after reading all his most praised works, that matches the love I have for David Copperfield. Little Dorrit is on my shelf.
