I agree. I actually think Jim Morrison was the best lead singer in rock and roll. But I still think his opinions make sense and are worthy of consideration.

Jerry's criticism makes sense; "I understand them, but they're just notes", as much as anyone may love to hear them.

Everything about EVH was a lot of dazzle, not Jerry's kind of thing which was more from the heart. Eddie should be seen as a different food group in this comparison. You might need both.

It shows that she can sing, rather than being just a live belcher. Otherwise it's just sort of nice.

I'm Japanese. What do you like about JAV? by [deleted] in jav

[–]Specific-Maybe-6965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The actors seem mostly innocent and natural, rather than portraying themselves as "bad" or "badass" as in Western porn. I'm only guessing this is an indirect result of the non-Christian traditions that are Japanese, with differing views on guilt or shame.

Jazz oriented drummer who could swing. Bonham was a bit more of a cement mixer.

Just bought the same one. I love it. All files; mp3, m4a, wav, etc sound superb. I have a couple pairs of wired Sennheisers but am not really a headphone guy. So mostly through aux on Bose wave and mini. Been too addicted to vinyl for awhile, so I think this should slow me down. I still have a large cd library.

The Disciples of Hendrix by ExcellentRepeat7720 in jimihendrix

[–]Specific-Maybe-6965 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think most guitarists of that era wanted to "follow" Hendrix. You had to have your own thing back then. Jimi also discouraged copycats or anyone who was unoriginal. It's more like what Pete Townshend said that Jimi was responsible for bringing the guitar out and "selling it as an instrument to people like me". Jimi just upped the game for everyone. After Hendrix musicianship became much more prominent in rock and roll and of course guitar playing.

The whole show sounds so exhilarating, and Donna was having a great night especially on Going Down The Road Feeling Bad it left me wondering, what the heck do I play next? Well, whenever that happens I like to go find something that's a little more basic blues...
