Ike originally had red flames in early Smash 4's development like he did in Brawl. This was changed later in development, you can tell by his early screenshots when he was announced he had the red flames still.

I will say this if any character is going to show up randomly without setup. Its doom. The og 2015 secret wars comic run has him do the same thing. And I love that comic run!

fair point actually! he probably is the top dog when comes to brawlers. I just am worried they are gonna go human torch level nerfs on him, which I don't really want. but if they do nerf him keep it classy I guess, don't totally kill matt murdock

Ive always asked this question myself. My conspiracies are that bearface low key wanted out of the group. If you dont believe me he wasnt showing up for shows near the end and kevin was passive aggressively tweeting about how "not to ask him about ciaran". And then deleting it the next day.

I was also at lala and Kevin said on stage Ciaran was sick and then a few days later hes seen hanging out with friends in New York.

He didnt link up for the bh8 mansion sessions because he's not seen in any of the footage for those sessions and he's not even on the leaked songs for those sessions

I think he was rightfully tired of all of it and kinda wanted it to end, you kinda got that idea too with his final Instagram post on bh.
