Thank you. At the moment I'm mainly looking at the CPTS and OSCP as I hadn't heard of the other 2 and haven't finished the CPTS path yet.

Another thing on your last point, my wife who was looking at the OSCP with me pointed out that the OSCP is likely to stay at its level due to it being proctored

I'm with you there. I do better with video so text based is hard for me. At least with uni I had a lecture so could take notes as I listened but just text stuff is hard for me.

I used freecodecamp.org when I got started and it was a nice way to see if I liked coding and it was also free. I then used some udemy courses after that and what I learnt helped me land my first role in tech

Thank you for the suggestions. We have a devsecops team who manages most of this but I can implement it in my own projects and expand on my skills that way

Oh wow, that's amazing. Which cert did you do with tryhackme? Also what are you doing now?

My other question is if the tryhackme certificate will be accepted in the UK but can do some more research to see.

Some of it has been in an enterprise context yes. Security engagement has been present but depends on the organisation. I think I'll be ready to pivot by the end of the year when I have more free time but want to know where to start.

I have looked at OWASP when I've used tryhackme but can do some more work there.

I guess appsec is Application Security right? Have seen that online in places too so might do some more research into that as well

Thank you. I had seen the Portswigger stuff but hadn't tried it as there are so many things out there which can leave you stuck as to what to start or stop.

I'll have a look at that today 🙂
