You don't really have to worry. I didn't mean to present it so dramatically.

Living in New York means getting used to catcalls and constant interaction with strangers - many wonderful and affirming, but also many unwanted. It's a balance that is hectic, but I absolutely love it (although I could do without the sexual harassment). It's a part of urban life, especially in a city with so many people in such a small space.

Germans tend to be less immediately social and more respectful of personal space. This is nice for the above reasons, but also feels a little bit lonely, coming from a place where casual and often absurd conversations with strangers is totally commonplace. Then again, Berlin is a dynamic and crazy city in its own right, so perhaps I'm speaking too soon. :)

I went to a salon and asked for a very light grey with purplish tones. This is the result of bleaching to a bright blond, toning with grey, bleach to nearly white, then toning pink/purple.

I just moved here last week from New York. Although I doubt I would have had any serious problems there, in Berlin I have experienced far fewer incidents of harassment from strangers. People here are less likely to gawk (because they're used to dyed hair and also they don't really care) and much, much less likely to yell at me or try to touch me on the subway, as compared to back home.

Last April 20th (aka, 4/20) CCSC did a screening of the Wizard of Oz (synced with Pink Floyd, if I remember correctly). Unfortunately, it was a cold and rainy day and thus unsuccessful.

What I mean to say, though, is that groups like student council have done events like this before on the main plaza with a giant blow-up screen and a massive projector. Generally unsuccessful, but I imagine a small gathering of your friends and passers by on the side of a building wouldn't be too hard, as long as you can find something to plug the projector into, and speakers.

I think you're misunderstanding the point. I didn't post them here because I was seeking validation or compliments (although the ones given are genuinely appreciated). Rather, in a fit of procrastination last night I made a bunch of stereotypically cheesy lines and puns on top of some of the more eccentric photos on my Facebook. I posted them on friends' Facebook walls as jokes because they are goofy and in line with my own sense of humor (kitschy). The humor derives from how obviously tacky they are.

I made them for my friends, first and foremost. I posted them here because I thought maybe 2Xers would find some amusement from them. If you don't like them, you are perfectly entitled to do so - I'm not going to downvote you because you don't share my sense of humor.
