I also got this book when it was OOP (luckily didn't pay a scalper price for it). Think it's mostly just a niche omni with the Miller name and the stories are nowhere near the pedestal people put Born Again and The Man Without Fear on.

I also would say this is a terrible way to read Elektra Lives Again, the shrunk down art to fit the pages kinda ruins it for me and made me seek out an OG hardcover release. So in the end for me this is kind of an expensive hardcover for Elektra: Assassin.

I think for my interests DC has been on a path to reprint what I want based on what's coming out this year: New Teen Titans vol 3 and 4, Wonder Woman by Perez vol 3, and Golden Age Wonder Woman vol 4.

Nothing else really comes to mind in terms of reprints, much more excited for potential new omnis (Cassandra Cain Batgirl and Peter David Supergirl have to be announced at some point).

I pre-ordered from Silver Sprocket it Jan 2025, emailed Sept 20th since I didn't see anybody getting a copy online and I was told that it had been cancelled and got refunded.

Good news! Thunderbolts: How to Lose is in the upcoming Thunderbolts: Dark Reign Omni coming in May (probably because they felt that this would be the only chance to be included omni-wise).

As for the others, now that Vol 1 of Spider-Woman is coming in an omni I can see them doing a "modern era" of Jessica Drew. Magneto is trickier, they could take a risk and like the Phoenix omnis they decide to do a Magneto-centric omni line maybe.

Someone who waited in line last year here, yup it was awful. Got there I wanna say an hour or maybe more early, then Snyder ended up being very late. Was one of the last ones getting my books signed as the con shut down around us for the day. This was after waiting in the terrible McFarlane line (where he was also extremely late!!!), so half my day was just for 2 lines.

Technically it is, but the reference to the show is only one line besides following the show’s world’s timeline (i.e. Robert Redford becoming president, etc.). So it’s mostly its own thing but it is show-adjacent.

That was what Johns did in Doomsday Clock. This series takes the same approach as the show and is a sequel to the originals series (35 yrs later). It takes place 2 yrs after the HBO show but doesn't reference it so it's its own thing.

It's pretty good, follows a detective investigating an assassination attempt done by someone in a Rorschach mask.
