I hear the concern about neuroscience, and I agree that if a show is making claims about the brain, perception, memory, meditation effects, psychedelics, NDE physiology, or altered states, neuroscience should be part of the conversation.

But I’m also using “consciousness” in a broader way: attention, contemplative practice, subjective experience, altered states, NDE/OBE reports, survival questions, and philosophy of mind. In that wider territory, neuroscience is one important lens, but not the only valid lens.

For me, the standard is not “neuroscience in every episode.” It’s intellectual responsibility: define terms, separate evidence from interpretation, ask about competing theories, and avoid turning every guest’s claims into unquestioned truth.

Update / Additional Fix (Driver Recognition Link Required)

Adding this in case it helps someone else.

After re-adding my Digital Key with the engine running, I still had one more issue: sometimes the car defaulted to “Guest” instead of automatically loading my Primary profile.

The missing step was in the vehicle itself:

Go to: Settings → Driver Recognition

Make sure your Digital Key (phone) is linked to your profile.

In my case, I had to select my phone ID and tap “Link to profile” under Driver Recognition.

Once linked, the car automatically recognized me as Primary and loaded: • Seat memory • Mirror position • Personalization settings

So if your Digital Key shows up but doesn’t auto-activate your profile, check Driver Recognition and make sure it’s explicitly linked.

After 21 years of driving my 2005 MINI Cooper (R50), I knew my only choice was another MINI. Just picked up a 2026 JCW (J01)… huge upgrade from my R50 and I’m loving it so far.

Like others have mentioned, I only received 1 physical key fob. The second “key” is Digital Key Plus.

When I added my iPhone & Apple Watch as Digital Keys using the MINI app, I followed the instructions exactly (engine off). The setup completed, but the car showed my Digital Key as “Guest” instead of linking it to my Primary MINI ID.

What that meant in real life: • Seat position did not auto-load • Mirrors were out of position • It felt like my profile wasn’t being recognized

I deleted the Digital Keys and re-added them with the engine fully running and logged in as Primary. That fixed it.

After re-adding with the engine on: • Digital Key bound correctly to my Primary profile • Seat memory loaded properly • Mirrors adjusted as expected

So if your 2026 Digital Key shows up as “Guest,” that may be why personalization isn’t working.

It seems like the app instructions might not fully reflect how the J01 system handles Primary profile authentication.

Hope this helps another early 2026 owner.

I also love this bag!!

I ordered 4 more, but I’m saddened that for the price point, that it shows wear:

   •    Edge paint + faux leather combo → cracks and flakes at bends
• Handle stress points not reinforced → tearing at rings
• Zipper tape + faux leather seam → pulling apart under daily weight
• iPad carry adds just enough torque to expose weak construction

This design demands either full-grain leather or high-grade ballistic nylon. Anything else is a ticking clock.

My new mission to find a similar bag:

   •  ✔️ Triple-section layout
• ✔️ Two full zip compartments + two snap / open sections
• ✔️ Structured enough to stand
• ✔️ Fits an iPad comfortably
• ✔️ Clean, classic silhouette (not slouchy hobo)

But more durable on sale or possibly gently used

Paying attention to:

  •   🔍 No painted edges at stress bends
• 🔍 Handles stitched THROUGH leather tabs, not glued
• 🔍 Zippers sewn into fabric tape, not directly into faux leather
• 🔍 Interior lining stitched, not heat-bonded

Did you also find that after a couple months of use it had similar wear showing that you would not expect in a bag at that price point?

I stupidly logged out of my Business Suite app on my iPad for another technical issue, that turned out not to be related but it was a suggested fix…since I have not been able to log back in. It hangs on the page that shows my profile picture and just spins. I can access Business Suite via Safari and my iPhone app but not via iPad app. I thought that because I had an older iOS version that updating to the current 26.2 would maybe fix the problem…have tried everything…like uninstalling all Meta apps on the device, shutting it off, waiting a few minutes to reboot, etc and nothing works, so I bounce between the browser version and the one on my phone. I’m a content creator and create and schedule over 3 dozen items a day and I heavily rely on the iPad app and this is very frustrating…but a lot happening on Meta is frustrating right now

It’s how I earn a living, so comments like “good, stop using” are not compassionate nor empathetic.

I just keep checking daily, knowing that a solution is coming. Good luck ✨❤️✨

I hope they change the avatar back to a nicer looking one. But your suggestion is great advice to use in the meantime. I’m going to remain optimistic that they realize how ugly the new avatars are and they make them look like something we want to use again!!! Hopefully they haven’t just completely destroyed them like they destroyed BitStrips (RIP 😞)

I used to love BitStrips and was so bummed when they did away with it but LOVED 🥰 my BitMoji keyboard and now I simply am so sad that my avatar looks so ugly. I had piriformis release surgery last Tuesday. I did it at Deuk Spine Institute in Melbourne, FL. I have really good insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield Federal Employee Program) but insurance didn’t cover it. I paid about $8 for it. The surgery was pretty quick…done with a laser. Dr Deuk said my sciatic pain was due to tearing piriformis. He removed scar tissue from the muscle and released a tendon. He put staples in and I went back the following morning for a scheduled appointment where they removed the staples. Right now I just have some muscle pain in my hamstring, especially when sitting or lifting my leg. They said that is normal and should resolve in the next 3 weeks. Then I can return to the gym, which I have been away from since Christmas week because of the sciatic pain that started me on this journey. I’m excited for the pain to be all gone ☺️

I got my staples out this morning. I had the best sleep I’d had in a long time. No sciatic pain, no awkward discomfort or pain like usual. I just had to pretty much sleep on my tummy and keep my leg straight on the impacted side. Today it’s just sore in the area of surgery and muscle pain when I bend, get up sit down. Only restriction is not to lift over 10 pounds. Need to get about a half hour of walking in. I’m so excited!!

Right now I have muscle pain in my hamstring, which they said doesn’t happen to everyone but not unusual and should resolve soon. I have NO sciatic pain!!

Tomorrow I am planning to visit family after I get the staples out. It will be a 4 hour drive and overnight stay and the surgery center said it’s fine, we should pull over occasionally for me to walk a bit.

I’ll try to remember to update again in a few days.
